It breaks my heart everyday to see my husband sat on the bed in pain. He was playing a match when the opposite team tripped him up, causing Alvaro to break his leg. He's been sat in bed for a week now and the doctors don't know why he's not recovering. He's has been very moody with me recently and I don't blame him because he can't go out of the house, play football, and hang out with friends, family, and our kids. Our daughter Caitlin has tried to make her dad feel better but she is heartbroken that her dad can't watch her football matches I always recorded it for him so he could watch it when we got home but he's hoping one day he can cheer on his princess in the crowd. Also, our son Simon has tried his best to cheer up his dad. He makes him breakfast every morning and will sit on the bed with him and talk. He loves his kids so much and wants to make them happy.
"Amy, when will my leg get better?"
I hugged him tightly "hopefully soon"
"I hope so too"
*2 days later*
Me, Caitlin, and Simon are sitting down outside the room as Alvaro's leg is getting better. "Good news, his leg has gone much better and he is free to leave and can do his job again" the nurse smiled at us and Alvaro walked out of the room and gave the kids a big hug.
"Dad, will you be able to watch my next football match?"
"Of course love I wouldn't miss it" our daughter smiled bright fully
"Can we please play football when we get home, me and you vs mum and Caitlin?"
"Absolutely my boy we're going to win aren't we"
I laughed at their cuteness "well, we'll see about that"
He stood up and gave me the biggest hug "thank you love for looking after me and I'm sorry for being moody with you or not helping the kids"
"It's alright, the good thing is your better now" I squeezed his hand and walked towards the exit "who wants to have pizza?"
"Me!" Everyone shouted loudly causing us to get death stares.
I'm soo grateful for my family and I love them so much.
