Kidd And Law: A New Passionate Rivalry

Looking into the direction they heard the shout, (Y/N) was about to escape the other way with Law, but the teen beside her slipped as they were both stumbling to get up and ended up falling on top of her when the figure finally appeared.

A tall, muscular teenage boy stampeded to the top of the hill, wiping a short red bang that got into his eye during his rush to the top, huffing and puffing and preparing to face the two, but the redhead froze in place when his mind started to process the scene in front of him.

Laying on the ground, was his beloved long lost friend who went wayward a few weeks back and never returned, making everyone fear the worst, with some scrawny, thinner looking male he's never seen before spread out on top of her in a position that made his blood hit its boiling point.

Being true to his own intentions, Kidd did the first thing that came into his mind, "get the flying fuck off'a my (Y/N)!" Soon afterwards with a startling battle cry that startled Law right out of his wits, the rebel launched the noble into the air and began to violently tumble down the hill with him, both boys flinging punches at each other on the way down- one from rage and the other from fear.

Kidd ended up being pressed into the ground by the guy at the bottom of the hill and hissed when he soon felt blood in his mouth as the raven continued his precise flurry of fists, Law on the other hand, never felt so alive, Penguin and Sachi never provided him with a challenge in their little quarrels, but this rebel who came out of nowhere was being damn resilient.

After a few more hits to the temple, the pale skinned boy decided he was getting far too pummeled by a guy half his size, so he bent his legs back and kicked him off with all his adrenaline right in the gut, Kidd almost felt amazed when the brat got up and swung without any moment of hesitation, which made him decide that this guy either had the stamina and pain tolerance of a monster, or was a really good faker.

The two then continued to throw themselves at each other like rivaled beasts fighting for their own, but soon when their muscles started to ache just a tad too unbearable, they both backed off and kept a stance, waiting for a sign of weakness.

"What the hell does a shitty creep like you think you're doing with (Y/N)?" Kidd aggressively growled out, not noticing the other male's confusion at all, but Law was stuck in a blizzard of thoughts, how did this rebel boy know (Y/N)? Why was he protective of her? What was going on?

Just when Law was about to interrogate the redhead as well, something smaller than the two of them catapulted in between them and made itself a barrier to separate the two, "wait! Kidd! Law! Don't fight!" She begged.

Both the boy's eyes softened at the girl's pleading tone and immediately dropped their battle positions, when they did, (Y/N) looked to Law first with an almost heartbroken and guilty look, "L-Law" (Y/N)'s voice came out sad, she was just waiting for the rejection to slap her across the face.

"I..I'm going to be honest with you..I'm not one of you..I grew up here...I'm a..rebel...and this is Kidd, my best friend" turning to Kidd to see the same confusion and aggravation in his yellow orbs, she almost couldn't face him in the eye, "Kidd, this is Law, a noble friend of mine I met over there...he's good" she wilted when neither of them said anything in responce.

Feeling the pressure about to overcome her senses, (Y/N) was about to break down and apologize when Law clapped his hands together, "well" he mused, "that explains a few things, thank you for being honest (Y/N), that is good to know" he smirked in amusement before beginning to walk over to the (H/C) until Kidd stomped into his way.

"What the fuck you think you're doing?" The brute tried to sound as intimidating as possible, and barely kept down the smirk on his face when the smaller male showed no fear, even though Kidd made sure to exact his 'dominance' over the other teens in the village, he couldn't help but think it felt so refreshing to have another badass rival to take on.

Law quirked his brow before looking back to the female behind them, "well I am going back with (Y/N) of course, I doubt she is going to leave at this point after staying with me for so long, and of course my parents will also begin to worry soon, we have been gone for a while, even by my standards, and they do tend to worry" but what the raven thought was logic, sounded like complete bullshit to the rebel.

Almost fearing the answer with the serious sounding tone from the lanky genius, Kidd questionably huffed, "what kind of crap is that? Ever since I could walk, my parents let me leave and come back to the house whenever I wanted without giving a shit, usually we disappear for days sometimes before coming back for lunch" he stated.

Blinking in disbelief, Law turned back to the girl who now walked up closer behind him and gave her a questioning expression, only to be recieved a small nod.

Turning back to Kidd, Law stayed silent for a long period of time, through it, (Y/N) could see the gears moving in his head, conjuring some brilliant plan or idea, or maybe something completely different.

"I am imagining you rebels have a lot of freedom" Kidd only snorted at the question, "here we value freedom of choice and doing what you want- whenever you want, we don't restrict others with your little rules and we don't give a shit as to what you're doing as long as you're not hurting anyone, we're a free, faithful village, and we watch each other's backs" the noble could easily tell that Kidd was obviously proud with every word he said.

Law hummed in acknowledgement, feeling a bit curious of the culture of their so called village, so once again, when he glanced into (Y/N)'s eyes, Law looked up and loosened his lips, "take me to your village" he stated.

Usually every night would contain cheers and boisterous laughter that would ring throughout the whole valley when the adolescents got into mischief as they passed around the hard worked spirits their parents made, but this night the human huddle around the fire was almost tense and awkward, because the village's crown jewel has finally returned, and with a strange boy too.

Kidd was giving the raven boy suspicious glares everytime he turned his head, speculating why the noble would dare intrude on his territory, although at the back of his mind he feared he already knew the answer.

With every movement in his sight, Law greeted it with a warm gleam of curiosity, chatting with everyone he was close enough to and soaking in everything they said, all the while looking back to (Y/N) with a happy smile that made her giggle, how dare that bastard make her giggle.

The redhead had no doubt in his mind that the smirking jackass was on a one track mission to whoo (Y/N), and that was his fucking job! No way in hell was he going to let some newb show up out of nowhere and whisk her away when he was this close to getting to her.

"So where did you say you were from?" Ace quirked a brow to Law after taking a long drag from his beer, unknowingly making Kidd viciously grin in victory.

There was no way that brat had an excuse for those kinds of questions, even if he was a noble with a considerable amount of cunning, no one could lie so smoothly to even save his life, but unfortunately he was proved wrong.

"I am from the very far side to the southwest, just past that giant hill near the edge of the dark forest, I have lived there all my life, then one day when I explored the border, I met (Y/N) here and she changed my life for the better" Kidd cringed and thought that his tone was a little too appreciative and sincere for his tastes.

Only huffing even more when everyone started to become more welcoming to the little intruder, Kidd turned away from the frustrating sight and glared into the direction of the fighter's constellation, he swore at that moment that Law would be his heated rival.
