A Drunken Dare

Yep, Kidd had waaaay too many beers this time, it was almost midnight and all the youth of the rebels were partying like this was their last moments to actually be alive, the kids were squealing bloody murder as they playfully wrestled all over the streets while all the teenagers were camping around the fire pits and drinking themselves silly while doing dares, thankfully none of the adults were awake to provide them with any responsible supervision.

The redhead was completely flushed, looking as red from his legs to his equally as red whispy locks, currently laughing his ass off while Luffy continued on with his dare, the spunky kid was- to (Y/N)'s utter disappointment and amusement, trying to vandalize his older brother's house with some sorry excuse of an insignia drawn right on his front wall, probably gonna regret that come morning.

Once that dare was finished with, most of the teens howled in their drunken mirth to congratulate him before tipping over and falling into a deep, long sleep, also probably gonna regret that come morning as tons of the smaller kids swarmed their unconscious bodies to begin their own sort of vandalism, seeing how much chaos could happen in one night always amazed the (H/C) to no end.

Laughing at their suspense, she drunkenly giggled to herself, not having been able to resist the drinks, and now almost regretting it when Kidd's golden eyes zoomed in on her before grinning like a lunatic, oh shit this can't end well, "hey, hey, hey, (Y-Y/N) *hiccup* I g-got a..dare for you too, or, or are yah too ch-chicken to..to take *hiccup* it?" Did he just call her a fucking chicken!? Oh hell no!

Loads of teens around the fire humored the pale kid's insult, getting called a chicken was a huge insult around here, "b-bring it on you lousy tomato tulip head" her smirk couldn't get wider at the brilliant insult she just thought up, but she still felt shaken as Kidd's grin went wider, "I dare you to sneak in on the Royal's meeting" all of the people still conscious gasped in shock, while some even did a spit take on their alcohol.

The royal's meeting was a conference between the richest and those with the highest social standing in the noble's land, was he actually serious? Not looking deterred in the least with what he just said, (Y/N) took in a deep breath to calm down her racing heart before standing up and offering the group a bold smile, "okay, I'll bring you a souvenir then, later losers" and with that she stalked off towards her house with a peace sign.

Inside the rickety hovel, she shifted around her shelved walls and boxes, tossing everything she thought she might need into her thick (F/C) duffel bag, after clearing out most of the things held in her drawers, (Y/N) counted how many days she had in her mind until the meeting, two, there were two days, including this one, so the meeting is tomorrow.

Gasping at her narrow time limit, the (H/C) haired girl wiped a hand over her (H/S) locks out of habit and launched herself out of the door, almost completely forgetting the stuffed bag in her rush, as she ran down the messy patches of dirt and grass to the border, a thought finally crossed her mind and she skid to a hault, there was a chance she might not be back for a while.

Even after successfully infiltrating onto the meeting without getting caught, there was still a chance of getting noticed by someone and then found out, or if the guards at the border became stronger than before the meeting and proved too trained to sneak back home by, then she would have to take a while to find a new way to this side, all in all, this was a very risky dare.

After a moment of thought, (Y/N) decided to visit that place, just one more time before she left, so with her mind set on her destination, the (S/C) female raced to the west and stared at the ominous line of the gigantic trees, all barren of life, rubbing against each other, making a creaking noice that sounded as if they were calling her to return, back to the land where she came and no doubt where her demise would occur if she allowed it to swallow her.

The sound of hungry beasts sounded through dispite the lack of gaps between the mighty trunks of the trees, but if one looked down they would find the culprit, a tiny hole, it was unbelievably small, so small that people wouldn't believe you if you told them that a child was able to squeeze herself through there, the only sign of proof for such a happening was the black coat of dried blood that caked the inside of the thorny tunnel, thin dribbles of it coming out into the other side, making the gory sight unbearable for the average person living in peace.

(Y/N) fondly smirked at the tunnel, remembering the day she popped out of there and imagined herself standing awestruck by the sun for the first time, wandering into the town, miraculously being able to clean most of her wounds along the way, (Y/N) wouldn't know what she'd do if they saw her like she originally was, her child self was shocked enough when they positively freaked over the hundreds of lacerations coating her flesh, still scarring her to this day.

Once her soul finally felt enough peace, (Y/N) bid her hole and her home a heartfelt goodbye, excitedly rushing towards the enormous wall that seperated the rebels from the nobles, "better be ready to eat your words, Kidd" she grinned.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The security was mediocre in the explosive (H/C)'s opinion, the giant mud forts and ditches the village kids would build during their little games were almost war material compared to this lazy excuse of a defensive wall, it was almost sad, really sad, and the nobles always boasted about their unbelievable military might too, constantly rivaling themselves with the beasts that awaited for them in the night, and that's just stupid.

Rolling her eyes when the midnight guard sleepily stumbled in his routine path, (Y/N) unzipped the small pouch in the front of her duffel bag before she reached in and pulled out an old MP3 player and a pair of ripped up headphones, smirking down at her trusty device, the woman crouched down underneath the bushes to make sure she wouldn't be caught when she wasn't looking, and placed the electronic in her pocket after turning it up to max volume whilst placing the headphones on her head, cushioning her ears in between their grip.

When the guard finally tumbled out of sight, she made a mad dash for the wall, pulling out a manual grappling hook that shot out and hooked onto the highest point in the wall, grinning wildly as the adrenaline started to kick in, (Y/N) duck down before springing up and right above the wall, using the grappling hook to propel her over the giant landmark.

Landing with a bad tumble on a few unfortunate flat roofs that suffered minor damage from the impact, (Y/N) gasped for breath as she sat up onto her knees, slowly processing the events that just took place while staring right into the moon above her, once her mind finally decided on a course of action, she raised her hand and made a peace sign with a beaming smile, she got in.
