I filled the paperwork out, which ended up looking like this:

Isabella had to explain what tiers, classes and ranks were. "Classes are what category of Magicant you belong in. The most common are Fighters, followed by Magicians, and then the ultra-rare Psychics. We only have two Psychics here at the clan, in fact. Rank is the rating of the amount of power you possess in each individual class. Tier is an even more precise measurement, being subcategories under Ranks. Do you know your Class, at least?"
Eric, Magmagis and I all shook our heads. "Well then, you're gonna have to take a magic test."
We were led down a corridor. We made a couple turns before stopping at the mouth of a maze. "This is your first test. It tests your courage, speed, and wits. You have ten minutes to figure out the maze and another five to go through it. All magic is allowed except for breaking down the walls. Ready, set, GO!" Isabella orated, as if she was reciting a speech.
Magmagis was to be assessed first. He yawned, as if he had all the time in the world. He recited an incantation. Suddenly, a trail appeared in the ground. He sauntered alongside the trail.
After about one minute, he was out. It was my turn.
"Dragon Mode!" I roared. Instantly, my magic power felt enhanced, and I had better senses. I could smell Magmagis's sweat on the other side. All I had to do was follow the scent.
I used Velocity Manipulation to increase my speed. Within seconds, I was out. Not long after I finished, Eric had joined us.
"Impressive indeed." Isabella spoke. "Remember the score I give you. Eric Draxxer, you scored an 8/10. Lily Walker, you scored a 10/10. Magmagis Katzenbogen, you scored a 9/10."
Eric, like I thought he would, whined. "Why did Magmagis and Lily score higher than me?!"[4]
Isabella interrupted him. "This test was scored based on the amount of time spent in the maze. 1-25 seconds scores a 10, 26-50 seconds scores a 9, 51-80 seconds scores an 8, 81-115 seconds scores a 7, 116-140 seconds scores a 7, 141-165 seconds scores a 6, 166-185 seconds scores a 5, and 186-225 seconds scores a 4. 4 is the lowest possible score-any lower and you don't pass, resulting in that person having to retake the test. Now, here is your next test."
Our second test was to choose one door out of twelve. If we didn't choose within ten minutes, we would fail. Eric tested first.
Eric failed twice before passing. Then, it was my turn. I entered the room to begin the test.
"Choose a door. You have one guess to choose the correct door. You absolutely may not use magic in this test. If you think you have found the correct door, open it. If it's incorrect, you will fail. You have ten minutes. Also, don't let the clock strike twelve. There aren't any more hints. Begin." Isabella said.
Man, this was hard. I only had a 1/12 chance of getting this correct. I looked around the room and saw a clock on the wall. I counted how many seconds it took for the lone hand in the clock to get from 1 to 2. It took 25 seconds. 25 x 12 is 300 seconds, or 5 minutes. So the clock would strike 12 at the 5 minute mark. Isabella said to not let the clock strike 12. So, I actually had 5 minutes, because after that, something bad would happen. The clock's hand was in between the 2 and 3, so I still had a decent amount of time remaining.
Isabella also said there weren't any more hints. That meant this riddle was possible. Or rather, we didn't need any more hints to solve it. What else did she say? I thought to myself.
We had one guess to solve this riddle. She also stated that we must open the door for it to count. She also said if my guess was wrong, I would fail. Aha! I got it!
That if gave it away. The if suggested that only some of the doors could be wrong. Not to mention, if suggests that the doors don't have to be wrong. Going further, she also said I had only one guess, and I could not use magic. She was indirectly saying that I didn't need magic, nor did I need more than one guess. If that was true, then basically, for 5 minutes, all the doors were correct. After processing all this, I opened a random door.
Like I expected, I passed. My score was a 10/10.
The third test was a test of magic power. It was really difficult-we had to destroy three different forcefields;each one was stronger than the one before it. It took me a while, and I only received a 5/10, but whatever.
The fourth test was a test of defensive power. Isabella fired bullets at us and we had to dodge or deflect them. I got a 7/10 because three bullets managed to hit me.
The fifth test tested a concept which I didn't understand; I still got a 9/10 though. The sixth test was a weird one. We had to run through streets filled with cars without using magic. I made it to the end, so I got a 10/10.
The seventh test made absolutely no sense-we had to defeat some enemies while doing mathematics problems. I scored an 8/10.
The eighth test made sense but was unusually easy. All we had to do was run across a field with traps. This was like the first test; but it didn't test courage, but instead tested a lot more cleverness and preparedness. Magmagis went first. He ran as fast as he could but after 10 feet of running a column of flame erupted from the ground. He grunted and used Digout (a form of Ground Magic) to uproot all the traps that were in the ground. Then, he continued to run.
After only another 4 feet of running some water came falling from the sky. He shrieked and used Lava Tornado, which blew away all the air traps.
This time he only went at a slow trot and he activated Dragon Mode to sniff out the traps. After some time he found a button, which he pressed. However, the button became alive and erected an invisible maze, which Magmagis simply flew over. He flew around, trying to find the end of the maze. Obviously he couldn't see anything, so he sprayed lava all over the cloaking which revealed the maze outline. He realized there wasn't an end. However, at where he originally began there was another button, once hidden by the grass but with Magmagis's lava it burned up. He flew down and pressed it, which resulted in the test ending.
"7/10." Isabella said. When I took the test, I received an 8/10; Eric got a 10/10.
Isabella then asked us what our final scores were. Magmagis said 62/80. I paused for a second to calculate my total score. "66/80," I said.
Eric smirked at the rest of us and he even had the nerve to stick his tongue out at Magmagis and me. "73/80." When he said that shocking total, our jaws dropped. Naturally, Magmagis whined. But before he could do anything, Isabella used some Plant Magic to grow a vine to restrain him and I used Electricity Cage to keep him from burning it. Isabella smiled. "So you really are an Electric Dragon Mage! I've never met one before. Nice to see your magic in action."
Then, Isabella announced our Classes, Ranks, and Tiers.

A/N:Sorry for the lack of updates! Homework got in the way and this chapter's plot is really long and I didn't have much time to write it so therefore it took forever. But it's a long update (1435 words not including this!) so enjoy it!

Thanks,
DerpReader, the writer
