Yay! I get to tell the story again. Wait, hold on. Lily is telling me something. Haha lol, she wants to tell the story. Not a chance bitch. You got two chapters. (That was meant for Lily.)
Anyway, we introduced ourselves and greeted the clan members. We were all given food and drinks. When the party was over, everyone walked back to their rooms.
The only ones who remained were Isabella and the girl who tried to calm Isabella down at the fight. We just stood there awkwardly until I realized I wanted to ask them something.
"Do we get rooms as well?" I asked.
They shook their heads in unison. I was about to use Haunted Death Ray of the Dragon (one of my most powerful spells) but Elaine slammed me with a surprisingly powerful uppercut punch. I lost concentration and then I used a simple spell that required almost no focus-Hyper Beam. "Hyper Beam!" I uttered. Light gathered in my hand and then I fired it at her. She barely dodged. Before we could continue our clash, Isabella interrupted us with Freeze Ray, a simple Ice Magic. But, when she used it she didn't say anything, which was weird.
"Stop it Eric. It's a clan rule. You must complete an assignment before you receive a room. Also, you're going to need to learn to control yourself. You are the most powerful mage in our clan after all." Isabella chided.
Elaine looked at me suspiciously and said, "How can he be more powerful than me?"
Isabella gave her a dry smile. "He is an Apocalyptic Magician." When she said that, Elaine fainted.
I panicked. "Will she be okay?" Isabella told me that she would be fine. She then asked, "So are you ready for your assignment?"
Magmagis, Lily, and I all nodded. "Magmagis, your assignment is to take Elaine to the infirmary. Eric and Lily, your assignment is to work together to capture or kill the Magicians who are causing chaos at the park you destroyed."
Magmagis was about to protest but I threw a Light Ball at him before he could whine. Magmagis frowned but didn't complain. Lily and I flew out the window and continued to fly-until we found a ton of helicopters with dead people in them.
We found the three who were causing the havoc. Lily grabbed the shoulder of the two girls and I grabbed the shoulder of the boy. He turned around and blew fire in my face. We began to fight.
Right before we fought I had a flashback of Isabella casting a spell without saying it. Maybe I could use the same technique to have the element of surprise on my side. I thought the words 'Hyper Beam.' Immediately, some light began collecting in my hands. I shot it with full power at him. He resisted but I could tell he was damaged.
I used the same technique for more powerful spells. I thought the words 'Death Eater' and a ghostly skull appeared. It began to harass the boy. I did the same for the spells Time Pause and Dragon's Psychic Eye. It still worked, but I soon realized thinking the spells drained me of my power faster than saying them. The boy was already quite damaged, so I decided I would now say the spells.
"Rock Tomb!" I shouted. A shell made of rocks encased his body. I strengthened the shell with Light Hexoprism. But before long, he broke out of it.
I was really shocked because most beings couldn't break out of something like that. I looked at my own body. I was covered in wounds! I had taken hits from him without even noticing it. This guy had some serious power-so I went to my last resort.
"Motherfucker, you made me mad! Real mad. You will pay the price. Dragons aren't something a prick like you can deal with!" I roared. Suddenly, I was part dragon. I had scales, much more power and healing capability, enhanced speed, strength, and senses. This was my last resort, a spell that Ergoraptor taught me to use only in emergencies-Dragon Zen.
I used Phantasmal Death Ray-only this time, the beam was as wide as a house and the ghosts in the beam were a lot more bloodthirsty. I fired it at him. He passed out. I checked his pulse to make sure he was still alive. He was, but the ghosts in him were still trying to eat his soul. I recalled the ghosts and they complied.
I turned around to see Lily sprawled on the ground. She had defeated one of the girls but the other girl was standing over her, and she looked like she was trying to absorb her body (don't make this dirty please.) Blood Magic! One of the deadliest type of Magic! I had to stop her.
I zigzagged towards her. I used Telepathy (a Psychic spell) to tell her to stop lest she die. She didn't listen; so I used my most powerful spell on her-Draconian Phantasmal Time-Edge Rock Beam. It took me about ten seconds to charge up, but when it did, I became surrounded in a ball of light shaped like the body of a dragon, filled with bloodthirsty spirits, sharp boulders, and to top it all off a powerful spell that would stop time for only her. I fired the beam-which by the way had a width of a large park.
She could not dodge it; it was simply too large. She suffered a direct hit. I recalled the spirits and continued time for her. But this time, the spirits brought back something-they brought back Blood Magic.
I walked straight up to her and yelled, "Bitch, know your place! Don't mess with my friend like that! You know what fuels my power? Anger. Anger unleashed my power! How dare you harm Lily!" After finishing my mini speech, I kicked her in the face.
I analyzed the damage on her body. Her limbs were shattered, and there were rocks impaled all over her body. Also, the Draconian enhancement caused the spell to move faster, which naturally caused more damage than a normal Projectile Light. However, she still possessed Blood Magic-it just wasn't as strong as it originally was. Also, she was dead; but her soul was still alive. Suddenly, I heard a voice in my head.
YOU WILL PAY FOR THAT, ERIC!
I recognized this voice. It was Fawkes, the Blood Phoenix. I began to converse with him.
What did I do? This bastard-
He cut me off. Shut up! Do you know who you killed?!
I looked at the face of the girl. I stared at her for a good while before remembering something. Janis Canterbury!
Exactly! Why would you use an amount of power even a god cannot stand up to on your old friend?
But Fawkes, I can't turn back time! Time Pause is the limit of my capability!
If I help you, Eric, you will be able to learn the powerful spell Time Rewind. I will appear in front of you, but I won't be able to for long! So pay attention when I teach you.
Not long after that, Fawkes came flying down from the sky.
"Eric, nice seeing you again. But I never thought I would meet you under these circumstances. Anyway, don't ask any questions on what happened during the time jump or anything like that! If you want to save Janis successfully, when you use Time Rewind her soul at least has to be alive. Otherwise it won't work.
"Concentrate on the moments before you started fighting Richard Park so this violence would've never happened."
I thought back to all the way back to when we first came here for the assignment. I gave him a thumbs up.
"Now, focus your magic on that memory. Now, once you've done that, imagine you are there. This is pretty hard so most people can't do this. But you, Eric, are a Psychic Alpha. You could absolutely do this with no problem."
I imagined myself in my past body, right before I grabbed the boy named Richard. After that, I told Fawkes to continue.
"Now, focus even more magic onto that memory. Make sure you are still imagining yourself as your past self. Use the magic to try to teleport yourself back in time while saying the words 'Time Rewind'."
I put all my magic onto the memory (I know that makes no sense to you so don't try to do it yourself. People in my world can barely do this.) I did this while simultaneously imagining myself in the past. Then, I said the words 'Time Rewind' and tried to "teleport" into the past. It actually worked. I waved at Fawkes one last time before warping into the past.

(Timeskip back to beginning of assignment)

"Lily, let's talk to them. We need to tell them to come with us." I said, knowing what Fawkes had instructed.
Lily looked surprised. "This isn't like you Eric. You usually resort to violence, similar to quite a lot of anime characters."
"Well, gotta avoid violence when you can, right?" I replied.
"Uh, hello. You three are going to have to come with us." Lily politely said. Obviously, they refused.
"Please? We would like to avoid fighting." I requested. The two girls accompanying Richard looked like they were going to negotiate something with us but Richard interrupted them.
"You think we are weak?! Come at us!" He shouted.
I guess fighting was our fate. I threw a Dragon Claw at him. Not my spell of choice, but I wanted to hurt them as little as possible. He jumped to the side, but it still managed to him on his thigh. That was the same spot where Isabella was hit! I thought to myself. What a strange coincidence.
While Richard was subdued, the girls introduced themselves. One was named Mera, and she was the student of Erza, the Water Phoenix. The other was Janis, and she was the student of Fawkes. That explains why Fawkes came.
We also introduced ourselves. We all at the same time realized that we were friends from the past.
At some point Mera asked where Magmagis was. I told her he was back at the clan.
They complied and we brought them back to our clan (and Richard too before you wonder.) When we came back, Elaine, Magmagis, and Isabella were waiting for us.
