"Wait!" Kagome was just about to call out to the rude male half demon that had taken off on her, soon after she'd confessed her feelings to him. Much to her dismay, he had been so rude as to avoid answering her question, replacing his answer with an excuse that he had to hurry home.
Although if I hurry, chances are I can catch up to him again! She thought confidently, although one couldn't presume she wasn't mad at him anymore. The sun was setting over the school, causing rays of it's golden light to shine through the windows of the now empty halls and club rooms as Kagome exited the nurse's office, closing the door behind her.
Meanwhile, Inuyasha made his way down the hallway, half running. He'd never been the type of guy to say mushy things to girls, not even to Kikyou in their past relationship. However, somehow he felt different around Kagome. Inuyasha had no clue himself what this feeling was exactly, but he tried to ignore them as best as he could. Yet, Kagome's confession sent his thoughts to wander again. Not even being able to be honest to himself about his feelings for the new girl, he felt like a coward.
For a moment, he stopped while trying to catch whiffs of her scent. He was positive Kagome was nearby, and keeping her somewhat bossy and demanding personality in mind, one would expect her to follow him immediately, right? But she was nowhere to be seen. At least, not yet. All the male inuhanyou could hope for, was that Kagome's heart wasn't broken, or that it wouldn't be when he'd tell her what seemed closer to the truth than anything else. But what was the truth? That, he couldn't even grasp himself.
If I tell her I love her, that would mean lying to her. She seems pretty smart , at least from what I can tell, so she'll figure that out herself after a while. I haven't known her long enough to consider her my girlfriend.
While lost in thought, he noticed her scent getting stronger. He was sure of it now. Her scent couldn't be mistaken for anyone else's. Her hands took a tight hold of his, her eyes looked so sad, but also filled with determination.
"Why did you leave? You never answered my question."Inuyasha quickly looked away from her, avoiding her gaze. That look in her eyes made him feel guilty.
"Is it because you still love Kikyou?" She demanded, letting go of his hand the second he turned away from her.
"What's it to you, anyway?! Even if I did still love her, it's none of your damn business-- What the?! Kagome...?" Inuyasha's amber eyes widened as their lips touched. Kagome pressed her lips onto his, making his whole face shade a bright pink color.
