Narrator's P.O.V.
"...She ain't my girlfriend! Not anymore.." Inuyasha looked downwards, his bangs covering his eyes as Kagome walked to him with a shocked look on her now less paler face.
"She was lying, then...!" she said, aloud to herself.
"What are you talking about? What the hell did Kikyou tell you?!" Inuyasha yelled, demanding an answer from the shocked girl.
"On the first day of school, she told me to stay away from you because you two were supposedly dating." She sighed and looked away as tears threatened to roll down her cheeks. "It's none of your business...! What's she talking about now?! I swear, I'll never understand human girls... I wasn't mad at her! I've no reason to be mad at her. "Listen...Calm. Down." I paused, growling softly under my breath once again. My voice sounded stern an annoyed, which would only make matters worse at this point. "I'm not mad at ya. Why would I be? You haven't done nothing wrong!"
Damn it! The mad voice again. This was NOT supposed to happen. "Listen...Kagome--"
"I have to tell you something, Inuyasha..." She cut me off again. "It may sound hard to believe, especially since we haven't known each other for long." My ears perked up as my face flushed, and I practically held my breath, waiting for her to continue. "It's your choice whether you believe me or not, but...Here we go..."
