~~~Piper~~~
So Nate was very good at archery. If I didn't kinda dislike him I might even call him impressive.
Though then again I'm not really one to talk I guess. I suck at archery. Chiron says I get it from my dad, who apparently isn't good at archery either. But Nate could pull off some pretty amazing trick shots not going to lie.
Kert and Nate both stood up on this pedestal that was a little ways away from dummies and targets. Some targets were pretty close to the pedestal, probably for beginners, and some were crazily far away. They went back one target at a time, letting eachother try to hit each one and then going back a target. None of them missed.
Like I said, it was impressive.
Until it got boring.
They kept doing the same thing over and over and over again. I got kinda tired of hearing the noises the bow made from drawing back and releasing the arrows. I internally groaned.
A small chuckle came out of Kerts mouth, "getting kinda tired there Piper?" He said, glancing down at me, those adorable dimples appearing in his cheeks again.
My eyes widened. Okay so maybe my groan wasn't internal.
"W-What? Oh uh hahaha no no no, I was just um... it's just hot out here you know?" I said, rubbing the back of my neck.
"Sorry, I should probably leave." Nate said, releasing an arrow and hitting a target in the dead center.
I raised an eyebrow and looked up at him. The way he said it was liked he trained himself to make that joke anytime something was said to set it up.
"Haha, very funny." I muttered, rolling my eyes.
"Why don't we make this a little more entertaining shall we?" Kert said, not even paying Nate's comment any attention. Kert stepped over to the side of the pedestal and pulled a lever. The targets the boys had already hit moved down and the last four remained.
I never would've been able to hit them. No human or demigod should be able to hit them. They were so far away it was insane. Kert pulled another lever and the last four started to move side to side, staying the same distance away but now moving around.
Nate smirked, "wow, do you really think this is going to make things more difficult?" He said, hitting the closest target with ease.
Kert smirked as well, "no I thought we could step things up another notch." Kert jumped up onto the railing and lept down onto the ground. While he was in the air he shot his target that was the same distance away as the one Nate just shot.
I looked up at Nate and saw him glaring at Kert. Which made me chuckle.
"It's fine if you can't do it Nate, those targets are really far away-" I started to say but he had already jumped over the railing and hit his next target.
Kert let out a good natured laugh.
"Very well done my friend. But can you shoot so well on a horse? Kert asked, calling over two horses that were standing on the side lines.
When the heck did those horses get there?
Kert rode his horse across the arena, moving at a fairly fast speed, and shot his target.
Nate walked over to one of the horses. "Are you kidding? This is child's play." Nate said, hopping onto a horse and doing the same thing.
Man these boys were competitive.
Kert raced to the other side and lept over some other targets, hitting his mid air on a horse. He drew another arrow and hit his other target as soon as his horse touched the ground.
