Chapter 8

Chapter 8 -Mining! (About time he did that!)

It's been a few weeks since Steve made the farm and he just did his usual stuff through the weeks. Wake up,get animals,eat,craft,hunt, feed animals in farm,sleep and then repeat everything the next day.Though today Steve decided to try something new! Mining! He'd always wondered why he made his pick axe in the first place and why it had always been lying in his chest. He had only used it one time,and that was when he was trying to get some coal. But this time Steve mine underground. He wanted to see what kind of ores and minerals the island had. Steve got 2 stone pick axes, 2 stone swords, a stone shovel, 12 torches and a crafting table. Now that he was all ready he went to a nice spot where he could mine. First he took his shovel and dug the dirt. Next he used his stone pick axe and mined down,down and down. He then mined to the side and before he knew it, he found iron! He mined the iron and behind the iron was another one and to the left side of that was another, and another, and another until finally there was no more. As Steve continued to mine to the side his pick axe was breaking. So he mined down again and he found coal. And you know when you found coal there's way more behind. So he just took about 7 coal because he wasn't really bothered to get the other coal. As he kept mining his pick axe broke. So he got his spare one and used it wisely. It was getting really dark so he took his one of his torches and placed it in the top right corner. This time he had made stairs all the way down so he wouldn't have a hard time getting all the way back up. As he got down he was getting really tired. He remembered that packed heaps of food in his inventory. 10 cooked beef, pork, chicken, fish, 2 cookies and 5 apples. Although he still had a lot in his chest back home in the village.
