Chapter 14 - Making Obsidian!

Before he made obsidian he put some wood around to trap the water and lava. Then it was finally time. He put water then put lava. Steve couldn't believe his eyes! It was forming obsidian! Then he took out his stone pickaxe, it didn't work. He took out his iron pickaxe, it didn't work.He took out his gold pickaxe, it didn't work. Finally he took out his brand new diamond pickaxe, and it worked perfectly! He made more obsidian and he had 20. Now he had to know how to get to the nether using the obsidian. He looked on the book and he found a page that said something about a portal, flint and steel and a number that said. Steve couldn't work it out. So he went to the villager and asked again. The villager knew exactly what the book said. The villager told him that he needed flint and steel to get to the nether and 14.......The page was also ripped so it only said 14. Now the villager had no idea. So Steve went to the place where he made obsidian and tried to figure out what it meant by 14. Then he remembered it also said a portal. A portal? Steve figured it out! The book said he needed obsidian to get to the nether and on another page it said something about a portal! A portal made out of obsidian! Steve also found out that maybe he needed 14 obsidian to make the portal! The nether portal. The villagers came to watch him and they were amazed! Now there was one thing missing. It also said you needed flint and steel. He then took out his workbench, got some flint and some steel and made flint and steel less than a minute! Maybe he needed to light up the obsidian with flint and steel. It seemed risky but he had the courage to do it anyway. Suddenly, strange purple things was in the nether portal! "This is it!",Steve shouted. The villagers were worried but they knew they could count on Steve. And so Steve stepped up........
