Lena's eyes opened and she inhaled sharply. Kara was sitting next to her holding her hand. Kara looked up at the younger woman and smiled, "Lena." Lena smiled back weakly. Kara noticed that Lena's eyes were glazed over. "Thank you..." Lena started. She found it harder to breathe when she was talking, "for saving me."

Kara shook her head, "I didn't have much a choice." she chuckled. "I love you, so much." Kara said, her voice breaking.

"I love you too, Darling." Lena looked up, trying not to let herself cry. "Lena, it's okay." Kara put a hand on Lena's cheek and rubbed her cheekbone with her thumb. Lena nodded and let a single tear fell from her eyes.

Kara leaned in and kissed Lena. "I'm so glad you're okay, Lena." Lena nodded in response.

"When can I go home?" Lena whined. "Complaining already, Miss Luthor?" Kara asked with a raised eyebrow. "Shut up, Kar." Lena chuckled. "But really, when?"

Kara sighed and sat back down, "If you were in a hospital, it would be a few weeks, maybe even months. But, because it's not a hospital, we could arrange for you to stay at my apartment, there would be security, a nurse. Maggie, Alex and I could take turns taking care of you. Would you like that?" Kara proposed, hoping it would please Lena.

"I would love that. Thank you." Lena smiled with her eyes closed. Kara grinned to herself. "Do you want me to send Alex and Maggie in?" Kara ran fingers through her hair. "Yes please." Lena nodded.

Kara walked out and less than a minute later, Maggie and Alex walked in. "Hey, Little Luthor." Maggie said softly. Lena looked up and smiled. "Hey, guys."

Alex and Maggie sat on either side of Lena. Lena sighed and looked up. The ceiling was boring. "How are you feeling?" Alex looked at Lena's face. She was still super pale. There was a heart monitor that was beeping.

"Not my best." Lena chuckled. She tried shifting because she was uncomfortable. But Lena could barely move, it hurt too much. She winced and Maggie caught on.

"Do you wanna sit up, Lena?" Maggie was afraid Lena would hurt herself more than she had already.

Lena nodded her head. She hated it when she needed other people to do something for her. It was so annoying. Lena wanted to be able to do things by herself. Hell, she could barely breathe by herself in the condition she was in.

Maggie helped Lena sit up. "Thanks, Maggie." Lena said gratefully.

An hour later, Kara walked back into the room and Maggie and Alex left.

Lena's hair was a mess, it was tangled and all over her face.

Kara could tell that Lena was growing aggravated. From what Alex told her, she was being more sarcastic than usual and she was snapping at people.

"Feeling any better?" Kara asked sweetly. Lena looked up at Kara and rolled her eyes, "I wish."

Kara furrowed her eyebrows. "Okay..." Kara sat down awkwardly next to Lena. "Is there anything I could do to help you feel better?"

"What could you possibly do, Kara?" Lena was angry. She couldn't think straight. Everything hurt, her head was throbbing. There was an IV in her arm that hurt like a bitch, the same way everything else did.

"Lena." Kara said firmly "You're being rude. What's wrong?" Lena covered her mouth realizing what she'd said earlier.

"Darling, I - I didn't mean to snap at you. I'm so sorry. " Kara shook her head, "It's okay. Just... think before you speak, maybe?"

Lena nodded and closed her eyes.
