Niall's POV

To be bluntly honest, I was dreading going over to Gabby's house. I knew I liked her-I always fall hard for girls. It was when I saw her at the cafe that day we took each others luggage. She had this look upon her and I knew right then she would be mine. I didn't know how, but I would make her mine.

At about ten to seven, I took my own car to Gabby's for our movie night. The neighborhood where she lived was familiar; our manager used to live over here before he was married. Getting out of the car, I could feel my heart racing, and as I grabbed the bag with popcorn and drinks in it, I almost dropped it. I just about ran to the door, but stopped myself just in case Gabby was watching. Finally I rang the doorbell.

"Hey Gabby!" I felt myself smiling as I was welcomed into her house, and she took the grocery bag from me. "So what movie are we watching?"

"I went to the video store and picked out a couple. You can go into the living room and decide which one you want to watch, and I'll go put these in the kitchen." We walked off our separate ways, and about two minutes later Gabby came back in the room carrying popped popcorn and two drinks with her. "So you picked Zombieland? I've never seen that one, but my flatmate suggested it."

We sat there pretty silent and the movie was fantastic, just like it was the other three time's I've seen it. I didn't watch much because I was too focused on her and taking small glances when I could. She looked great in her jeans and sweatshirt. Her hair was tied back into some type of braid and her makeup was natural. Wow, she looked amazing.

Zombieland was done and Gab got up to take the movie out. "Do you want anything else to drink?"

I snapped out of my trance I was stuck in. "Oh, yeah. Water is fine."

Gabby smiled at me and took my glass. I took that time to look at my text messages I have received during the movie. Of course, they were from Liam.

            Liam: How is it?

            Liam: Going good?

Me:    Great, but I'm freaking out.

I heard the water running in the kitchen, so I followed the sound and made my way to the room. She looked up from the sink and grinned a little. "I hope you don't mind, we only have tap water."

I took my glass back from her. "That's okay, water is water? Right?" I paused a little. "So, what should we do now?"

Her face lit up. "Let's play would you rather. But we should talk first, you know, to get to know each other."

That's my chance so I can see how she feels about me. We walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. Gabby set her water down on the table along with the popcorn I carried into the room. We talked for a bit, and I got to know that she has three siblings at home that are all younger than her with her parents, and her sister that is fourteen and is coming to visit over her spring break in March. Gabby wishes to be an emergency room nurse, and her last boyfriend broke up with her before he left for college last summer. However, Gabby felt the same way and knew their relationship wasn't going to last between them while they were in separate countries. I was happy with hearing that, because then I knew she wasn't going to be hung up on the other guy.

"What about you? Who's all in the Horan Clan?"

"There's my brother, Greg, but he's older than me so at home right now it's just my mum and dad. But I try and go home every chance I get to spend time with them and my friends." I was trying not to show too much emotion because just thinking about it makes me even more homesick.

"Aw, well you have a new friend to keep you company now and you can always talk to me too. I'm really homesick, and I haven't even been here a week, but I know it's all for the best and I have this great opportunity to study here." A smile crept across her face and her dimples were showing. "Okay, time for 'would you rather!'"

"Okay, would you rather eat five toenails or lick a hairy armpit?" I wiggled my eyebrows at her.

Gabby looked absolutely disgusted. "Wow, that's a tough one. I'd lick the armpit. Would you rather not eat for an hour, or eat one piece of rotten fruit?"

"Easy, I'd eat the rotten fruit. I can't go long without eating, Gab."

The game went on like that for another fifteen minutes, and I decided it would be better to ask her out now on a date, rather than later.

I inched my way closer to Gabby and she looked up from her hands and her big green eyes were looking at me. "Would you rather go on a blind date, or go on a date with me."

She looked shocked. "Erm...." I took that as a no. "Just a date, nothing else?"

"Of course." That's all it was, only a date.

   "Yeah, that'd be fun!"

I let out a sigh of relief and our night ended soon after that. Before I left, we hugged and said our goodbyes.
