"HAZEL!!" Emily practically tackled Hazel.

"Oph! Hi Em." Hazel laughed.

"They have sloppy joes!" Emily cried out happily.
She thrust the sandwich into Hazel's face.
"Em, that's disgusting. I don't know how you can eat school food." Hazel made a face.
She was pretty sure they didn't even use real pork.
"She's right. I mean it even smells bad and I love meat." River's deep voice came from behind Hazel.
"It's fine!" Emily argued as she stuffed a bite into her mouth.
Hazel, Jake, and River all flinched.
"Don't act like you've never eaten it!" Emily shouted.
"Not since the new lunch lady came." Hazel pointed out.
"What's wrong with her? She's nice." Emily pouted.
"She just gives me a bad feeling and every time she serves the food it's worse than normal." Hazel ate the lunch she had brought from home.
"I'm Emily by the way." Emily shook River's hand.
"I'm River. It's nice to meet you." River shook her hand as he sat down.
"Why are you sitting here!?" Hazel demanded.
"Because there's not assigned seating." River smirked at Hazel.
"You could sit anywhere!" Hazel pointed out.
"Let the hot man stay!" Emily pleaded.
"Fine! Only if I can keep Arnold." Hazel grumbled.
Emily's eyes widened, "Get out of here! I can't have that thing living with us!" Emily was trying to shove River from his seat.
It was like trying to move a brick wall.
"Whose Arnold?" Jake asked.
"The corn snake I found in Emily's room this morning." Hazel smiled remembering the cute little creature.
"It's not staying!" Emily shouted.
"Emily, calm down." River told her.
"Yeah, I told you I would return him to the wild after school." Hazel huffed.
The rest of lunch was pretty normal. River growled a couple of times and Hazel would growl back. Hazel had gone through a similar faze with Emily. Emily would growl when ever she was mad for awhile.
Last period went by quickly and Hazel and Emily took Arnold to a local park. Emily had been terrified the entire ride. Once, Hazel released Arnold he quickly slithered off.
"We should get a pet." Hazel got off the ground.
"No."
"Why not?" Hazel asked.
"I'm scared of every reptile, birds are too noisy, dogs are messy, and cats are mean." Emily listed the reasons off.
"That's not true for every animal. Not all cats are mean. Not a dogs are messy." Hazel said as they walked through the park.
"No." Emily said firmly.
"You know there are many health.." Hazel started.
"No!" Emily cut her off.
Hazel sighed, "Fine."
They walked through the park.
"Did you hear that?" Emily looked around frantically.
"Stop being paranoid. I was actually enjoying our walk. You get like this every time you go outside." Hazel rolled her eyes.
"I heard a branch snap!" Emily's eyes were wide.
Hazel stopped walking, "We are in the freaking woods! Branches will break."
"WOLF!" Emily screamed and went to run.
"Don't run. It will only chase you." Hazel said calmly.
Emily nodded, "What do we do?" Her voice was shaking.
"We back away slowly." Hazel whispered.
She never took her eyes off of the wolf that peered at them through the bush. Hazel couldn't tell if its fur was dark brown or black. It's eyes were a deep beautiful shade of blue. Emily was clutching on Hazel for dear life.
"Do your Kung-Fu on it!" Emily whispered harshly.
"It's karate not Kung-Fu. I'm not doing karate on a wild animal." Hazel corrected her.
"Same thing. Do it before we die." Emily shook Hazel.
"There's a difference! Now, just keep backing up." Hazel snapped.
The wolf growled at them and started walking towards them. Emily went to run again, but Hazel held her firmly.
"Running is a for sure way for you to die." Hazel said sharply.
"I'm scared." Emily whispered.
"I know." Hazel whispered back.
Hazel didn't know why they were whispering.
It's not like if they whispered the wolf would be like, "Oh this prey isn't loud, I'd better go find me a singing rabbit."

Hazel could see the wolf had a beautiful day black coat. At least they were going to die at the paws of a beautiful creature.

"Why hasn't it eaten us yet? It's toying with us!" Emily panicked.

Emily was right, why hadn't the wolf eaten them? The wolf was no longer growling. In fact, he was slowly approaching them.

"Omg! Emily! I know why he hasn't attacked!" Hazel sounded excited.
"Why?" Emily's tone shifted from fearful to slightly curious.
"I HAVE A WEREWOLF MATE!" Hazel screamed as she tacked the wolf.
"Hazel! You're crazy! Werewolves aren't real! You have been on Wattpad too long! Get over here before he tears your face off!" Emily shouted angry at her friend for being so crazy.
"Wattpad has prepared me for this moment!" Hazel shouted hugging the wolf to the point where he was almost chocking.
"No! Stop it! Oh, never mind keep strangling him." Emily calmed down some.
"Wait, what? Oh I'm sorry." Hazel loosened her grip, "I always knew I had a werewolf mate! See Emily! This is why you walk in the forest! How else do you find your mate!" Hazel squealed.
"I've never seen you have such a girly moment..... I'm disappointed." Emily had completely forgotten about the wolf.
The black wolf was still being chocked by Hazel. Hazel was too excited to notice.
"Where are the sparks? There are supposed to be sparks!" Hazel shook the poor wolf.
"Haz.." Emily started but was cut off by a loud growl/ snarl.
A large black wolf burst from the trees and went for the smaller black wolf. Emily yanked Hazel away quickly. The smaller wolf growled at the larger one and attacked it before running off. The large black wolf didn't even have a mark from the smaller wolf's quick attack. The large black wolf started to chase the smaller one.
"No! Don't hurt my sexy werewolf mate!" Hazel screamed chasing after the two wolves.
