Sleet up top.

"Sleet, what are you doing up?" River asked looking up.

"That explains why he's so pale. He's sick." Hazel thought.

Sleet stared at Emily, he was breathing a little hard. Probably, from trying to get down the stairs.

"So, Mr. Blue eye's name is Sleet." Emily thought.

"Hello?" River was a little annoyed, "You are too sick to be up.

Sleet had never ignored River before. They always talked to each other no matter what. Sleet growled softly looking at Chris.

"Move." Sleet's voice was barely above a whisper but, held a lot of authority.

Chris quickly moved, "Are you still going to ignore River? You need to be in bed sleeping."

Sleet half walked half staggered over to Emily. He stood right in front of her and she paused the movie. He leaned down and looked her on the eyes.

Emily quickly scooted back," Um, clearly you are sick and I don't want what ever you have."

Sleet stared at Emily, "Mine."

Hazel smiled, "I told you the best friend always had a beta mate!!" She shook River.

Sleet gave Hazel a confused look, "Luna?" He asked.

"Yes, I'm Luna Hazel, but please call me Hazel. This red head beauty is your mate Emily." Hazel shoved Emily forward.

Sleet slid next to poor Emily who was trying to avoid getting sick,"I'm Sleet."

Emily waved, "Um, hi, look you seem nice and all but, I just got over the flu. I can't afford to be sick. I missed too much school as it is."

Sleet smiled, "Don't worry, I won't get you sick. I got poisoned by some punk rouge so, unless you are allergic to wolfsbane and plan on drinking my blood you will be fine."

"Wolfsbane is poisonous both to animals and humans." Emily informed.

Sleet smirked, "Of course, beautiful and smart." He leaned forward.

Emily gently pushed him back not quite believing his wolfsbane story. Sleet slumped over and Chris sighed.

"This is why we said to stay in bed. Don't worry he's fine. He just passed out." Chris dragged Sleet back upstairs.

Emily and Hazel headed home not to long after the movie ended. Emily went to sleep but Hazel couldn't sleep. Hazel went into her spare room where her Karate equipment is. Hazel ran through her warm up then practiced her kicks against a punching bag. Hazel didn't want to wake Emily up so she was only kicking it softly. The door creaked open and Hazel whipped around, ready to attack.

"Chill, it's me." Emily put her hands up," Are you okay?"

"Yes, just practicing." Hazel shrugged.

"Well, I can hear you thumping so please stop." Emily turned around and left.

Hazel sighed and went to the living room and turned on the TV.

"Today, in the forest behind Emesron Highschool the bodies of three students were found."  The woman on the news announced.

Hazel gasped, that's where she went to school. The lady rambled on about how long they were there and how they were found.
Hazel sat there shocked. The bodies belonged to the boys who hadn't been to school for awhile. I guess being dead is a pretty good reason to skip school. Hazel turned off the T.V. and headed to bed.

The morning classes of school passed quickly. It was the new norm for Hazel.

"Hazel!" Emily shouted.

"What?" Hazel asked.

"They have pork tacos!" Emily held the taco up excitedly.

"Um, gross. I've never even heard of a pork taco before." Hazel made a face.

Emily gasped dramatically, "How dare you shun the taco!?"

"Stop, just stop." Hazel gave Emily an annoyed look.

"Fine." Emily grumbled looking away.

"Did you hear about the students?" Jake asked.

"Yeah, I saw it on the news last night." Hazel munched on her lunch.

"It's all the kids in my class could talk about this morning." Emily frowned.

"It's so weird." Hazel muttered.

Hazel looked around the Court yard at the students milling around. The group of students that had just lost their friends were huddled close to the gym. Hazel felt bad for them, she couldn't imagine loosing Emily. Hazel got up and walked over to them.

"I heard about your friends. I'm so sorry." Hazel looked at them.

"It's okay, they were always finding a way to stir up trouble." A brown hair boy shrugged.

"They knew that going into the woods was a bad idea and now look, there goose is cooked." A tall boy shrugged off.

Hazel couldn't believe that they could just shrug off their friends death.

"Why were they in the woods?" Hazel asked.

The tall boy looked up at Hazel, "Cooking."

"Cooking?" Hazel said confused.

"Yeah, like drugs." The brown hair boy said in a tone that made Hazel feel stupid.

"Oh." Hazel whispered.

"Yeah, oh." The brown hair boy snapped.

Hazel went back to her friends.

"What was all that about?" Jake asked.

"Nothing, don't worry about it." Hazel shrugged.

Jake went to say something but the bell cut him off.

"Don't forget we are having a movie night tonight!" Emily called over her shoulder as she walked away.

"I won't!" Jake shouted.

After school, Emily and Hazel decided to watch a horror movie. They didn't have any homework so they grabbed chips and started watching Children of the corn.

"I've never seen this one." Emily said confused.

"You will like it." Hazel assured.

Emily was enjoying the movie until the dog in the movie ran into the corn field.

"Oh, please don't die." Emily muttered.

The mechanic went after the dog but couldn't find it. He went back to the truck to his dog's bloody collar on the hood of the truck.

"What sick twisted person would kill a dog!?" Emily shouted.

"Wait, you're not bothered by the fact children are killing each other but as soon as the dog dies you get upset?" Hazel asked stunned.

"Yes, because only a cruel monster would kill a dog." Emily pouted.

Hazel rolled her eyes, "Just watch the movie."
