Adrien's pov:
i sprint to Mari's room to find the door locked,that's weird,normally mari wouldn't lock the door
i used some force to break the lock,as i enter the room i rapidly look over the bed to find marie lying there sleeping
i used my super speed to go besides her making sure she's okay,i glance over to see that she was just asleep
i cover her with the sheets
as i was about turn around,i saw some shuttered peices of the lamp that was besides her on the floor
oh,well maybe while mari was sleeping she accidentally moved her hand to the side of the bed and there it is broken
i cleaned up the mess and went back to my room

next morning,i woke up early,i wore my athletic clothes and went downstairs only to see mom in the living room reading a book
"good morning"i said as i went to grab a bottle of blood from the fridge
" 'morning,i assume you're going for a run"
"yep"i took a sip out of my bottle"anything new from ian?"
"nope,still no response"she explains
"okay,if he contacts you tell me,first I'll go see my grandparents first,i forgot my ring in the living room "
"catch"he throws the keys and i catch them"take the house keys,cuz they're not there,i went to see them last time but there was nobody"
"really,where did they go ? they usually inform us before leaving the city"
"they must have been an emergency,you know sometimes they have to make those last minute field trips"
"true,well I'll be going then"i toss the bottle in the trash can
she nods
i left the went and headed directly towards my grandparents house,i slowly opened the door,i stepped in the living
it was quite,it didn't bother me so i approached the table and put on my ring
however,something was wrong,something was off,i checked the house only to find that the bedroom was messy papers thrown everywhere almost all of them had the same title 'vampires taking over both cities '
'vampire taking over both cities' ?what's this about ?
i kept looking for more answers but none of them were enough,all it said was controlling,does this mean that vampires are after power,which only leads to the king and his servants and let's not forget his fake loyal commanders
besides all of this,why is all of this here ? i take out my phone and call grandpa,no answer
i immediately went back home,as i reached the living room,i found no one,just a sudden scream made me look upstairs
marinette !
i used my super speed and got to her room,mom was there besides her,she was trying to calm her down
"what happened to her ?"i said as i approached both of them
she glances at me and says"i don't know,i was downstairs doing my business when unexpectedly heard screaming then you came in"she explains
"what's wrong with her?"
"i have no idea,I've never seen something like this before,it's strange"she pauses"however it seems like something is inside some of her blood cells,as if it's preventing it from providing protein for the body which is something harmful for the whole to take in"
"which means ?"
"which means whatever this thing is it's deadly"
"s-someone injected me with something,he was wearing a mask"she said looking at both of us
"what ?"i pause tryingto collect my thoughts together"so,that means this morning,the broken...it was because of that"
she nods
"how stupid of me,how could i not notice something like this ?"
"now is not the time for blaming yourself"mom said
"right"
i look at mari to see her in pain,it hurts so bad seeing the person you love in pain,however it feels like she wants to move but she can't
"she can't move"
dad walked in looking worried"i came here as soon as i heard"he looked at mari and said"what happe---"
"not now,we have to find a solution"i said panicking
"okay,from the looks of it it doesn't look like a desease,it somehow looks more of a---"
"poison"dad said looking terrified
"is there a cure for this kind of condition ?"
"there has to be something"i said
"i think i know the right person for this"he pauses"let's go"he said as he lift up mari and starts carrying her to the car
"hey,what are you doing ?"i said following and mom behind me
"can't you see I'm trying to save marinette,and don't worry she'll be okay,trust me"
i let him lead the way,until we reach this old house that was at the end of the city
we leave the car and as dad about to carry her i say"I'll carry her this time"
he gives me a small smile before ringing the bell of the house
no answer
dad pushes the door slowly only to find it open,we followed him until we reached this creepy room with all these kinds of strange colored liquids in jars
"hello ? somebody here ?"he pauses"she's usually here"
"wait,how do you know whenever she's around or not ?"i ask
"long story"
"well hello there,Ms Adler"she says as she stepes out of the dark
"glinda,there you are"he says
she had black hair,some wrinkles were shown on her face,her eyes were light brown
"so,need something from me ? i mean you don't just come here without a need"
"who is she ?"i say looking at her
"I'm a witch,boy"
"you're using a witch to help us,really dad ?was that your plan"
"if i were you i wouldn't talk like that to an old lady"
"stop it adrien I'll explain later for now glinda,i need you to help me find a cure for her,you know what to do"
she looks down at mari and says"you see,I've been long enough in this domain but nothing is free"
"I'll do anything you just please help me with this"i said
"anything you say,hmm...okay,I'll take a look,put her down"
i put down mari on the couch and immediately look at glinda
"it's ricin,a deadly poison that attacks the body however it only gives it a few hours to lead to death"she pauses"yet that's not all it also has a spell in it"
"then,are you going to help us ?"i say
"yes,on one condition,you have to bring me this herb also known as lavender,it's a medical herb that i can use to break the spell and cure her"
"and where do i find it ?"
"anywhere near nature obviously,you should look carefully cause it's rare to find,you better hurry,your time starts now"
"and what if i don't find it ?"
"in that case,she'll die,you have 24 hours to find the herb"
