Patrick was sitting on his couch, watching ghostbusters because it's amazing when he got a call from his long time friend asking if he wanted to go to the local book store, which he agreed to because it meant getting out of the house which he hasn't done for most of the summer. He grabbed the first pair of shoes he could find and walked to the book store which was a ten minute walk. While on his way many cars drove past, one with some music from one of the bands from Chicagos punk scene which Patrick found pretty cool and he continued walking until he arrived at the store. He looked around and couldn't see his friend 'he probably ditched me, again' he thought to himself and picked up a book about music and started flicking through it when he sees a cute boy with curly hair walk into the store and Patrick sits on one of the few seats in the store and he swore he could see the curly haired boy look at him a few times before the boy came over to him. "h-hey, my name is Joe" Patrick looked up at the boy "Hello, my name is Patrick" Patrick smiles at Joe and motions for him to sit beside him "so, I just wanted to say that I think you're cute" Joe mumbles, loud enough for Patrick to hear and understand, which caused Patrick to blush and smile "you're cute too ye know" Patrick said which caused Joe to blush and smiles. Joe looks at Patrick "so, what brings you to this store?" "I was supposed to meet a friend here but I'm pretty sure he abandoned me to hang out with his girlfriend who hates my gay ass" Patrick chuckles slightly and Joe giggles "Im only here cause I'm in the area for the summer and I'm bored, I'm from closer to the city" "oh cool" "yeah, wouldyoumindifigotyournumber?" "Uhm, Wut?" "would you mind if I got your number" Joe asks, blushing madly. Patrick smiles and takes an pen out if his pocket and grabs Joe's hand and writes his number on it. They talked for another half an hour before Joe had to go so the two of them walked outside and before he left Joe kissed Patrick softly who kissed back for a few seconds before Patrick pulled back and smiles and the two of them parted ways and Patrick started walking home when he seen his friends girlfriend staring at him, he brushed it past and walked home, excited to text Joe when he got back
