Scott's advice may have been stupid, but it worked. Holy sunshines, it worked!
Thank fuck, earlier was the last day of school before holiday break. I didn't sleep well last night because of Scott's advice that seemed really, absolutely, ultimately stupid. Like I know that's what millions of people would normally say to ask a person out on a date but I still find it stupid. But I guess you don't since you said yes to me earlier.
I didn't really have a plan for our first date yet, I thought I could just ask for your number and we'll talk about it over the phone. But before I could get my phone, you grabbed my hand and we just ran wherever our feet would take us.
We ended up in Times Square; one hand clutching our foods, one hand clutching the other's. By the end of the night, I am clutching a paper with your phone number on it.
