Aera's POV

Mum knows everything. She knows what's going on between me and Mark. She knows that I have rejected him. And right now she is trying to convince me.

" Aera, just because it didn't work between me and your father .. it doesn't mean it won't work between you and any other guy. I always wished you to date someone , have a boyfriend, an ordinary life of a college student. And Mark , he seemed like a good guy. You were sleeping and he didn't wake you up . Instead he stayed by my side . He told me so much about what all is happening at college. How you are playing so well, studying so well and even your job also . He was praising about your cooking too. He didn't tell me anything about his feelings towards you. But I guessed it . He likes you . In fact I asked him on his face if he's got any feeling for you . He just smiled and said that you are a tough girl. I'm guessing you have rejected him already" Mom said rubbing my hands

" Mom , but I don't think I should be in a relationship right now . I have to concentrate on so many things , studies , games...." I said but soon I was interrupted by mom

" Aera, why do you always think from mind . Sometimes you should listen to your heart also ." Mom said smiling

I shook my head

" I don't even know if I like him . And why the hell does he likes me ?" I asked confused

" why won't he like you? You are such an amazing girl . You are pretty , smart , and you always bring smile on people's faces" Mom said

" by doing something stupid" I snorted

" well that's you're speciality." Mom teased

"Mom you should rest now" I said standing up

" hmm and you should thank him" Mom said raising her eyebrows

Ya she is right . I really need to thank him . Thankgod he was here with me . It would have been tough to handle alone .

I walked out of moms room searching for Mark . I saw my uncle standing far away talking to some nurse . I walked up to them and asked uncle where Mark was, to which he replied

" oh that friend of yours. Such a great guy. Thanks to him we got an early appointment of the best doctor" uncle said

" what?" I asked 😳

" you didn't tell me that your friend has connections with that doctor . We could have taken this appointment earlier" uncle asked

" where is he ?" I asked

" he left an hour ago" uncle said

Oh no 🤦🏻‍♀️

I'm such a stupid person

I should have thanked him at least

I want to thank him so badly

He did so much for me
He brought me here . I heard him talking to someone on the phone while we was dragging me out of his dorm, he was requesting someone to lend him his car .
He spend time with mom when I was carelessly sleeping on the bench
He even got an appointment of the best doctor .
