Aera's POV
" where do you think you were running?" Mark asked pulling me between his legs.
We are sitting on Mark's couch waiting for Doctor Sam to wake up. Doctor Sam whose I knocked out few minutes ago and Mark picked him up and placed on our I mean his bed.
I bend my head , looking down at Mark's hand that was holding mine tightly. Other hand of His was on my back. He is holding me like I might try to run again.
Honestly telling ... I do wish to run away . I don't want to deal with it now .
" huh?" Mark asked again lifting my head up by putting his finger under my chin. Our eyes meet , Mark's eyes are glassy.
I feel ashamed !
What the hell was I trying to do ?
I was running away from him ?
From Mark ?
I close my eyes sniffing ...
" I'm sorry" I whisper
" no Aera ... I'm sorry" Mark said rubbing my back
" it's too overwhelming for me" I whispered opening my eyes looking at slanting head of Mark . He looks so cute . His lips are pouting .
I sniff again .
I am feeling heavy , my throat feels heavy.
" I know , I hide my past from you . But Aera trust me ... I am just a prince . Second son , I have nothing to do with that kingdom . That's why I thought it's not important to tell you about it . I don't want people to think of me differently. I didn't want to give you any false hopes... " Mark started speaking quickly
" hopes? What hopes ? That you are a prince ? That I would be interested in you because of that?" I asked sniffing my running nose. Why is it suddenly running. My eyes are burning.
" no ...no Aera , that's not what I meant. I know you are not anything like that . I know you are least interested in this title, it's just that I ....
I have lived that life for 15 years. I have seen my life like a prince and I have seen my life as an ordinary person . I love ordinary life more . I have cut almost all connections with my homeland. I am not going to involve with that title , with those people. I just want an ordinary life here , in this town, in this college, doing my business, and my friends , and with my girl" Mark said touching his forehead with mine.

He rubbed my back , trying to stop my water work.
Soon my tears drain on his shoulder.
I pulled back looking down at my sitting position, when did I move on Mark's lap.
" Aera , I know you have no interest in this king ,queen , prince , princess thing , and so do I ... I might be a prince from far away land And not living a king like life .... but I promise I will keep you happy . I will do anything ... for you... I promise

I will give you everything that I possibly can ." Mark said moving my hair behind my ears
" will you put some lights on your stairs?" I asked in wobbly voice 😟
Mark looked at me with confused expression😮
" it gets really dark inside your warehouse " I said 😔
"Okey" Mark chuckled kissing my forehead😄
" and also repair street lights outside" I said😅

Mark pulled me suddenly close to him whispering " anything for you princess"😎
" promise? " I whispered
" promise!" Mark whispered. His breath hitting my face

I moved forward to close the distance between us but Mark came first.
