21. Ordinary Prince

Aera's POV

" excuse me ma'am! Your stop has come" the bus driver says bringing me out of cloud nine

I got a call from Mom 2 days ago , she wanted to meet me. I thought something serious happened , so I immediately left for home . Mark insisted to take me there but I refused because he has missed so many classes already.

Upon reaching there I found that Mom was alright . In fact she looked happy and excited .
Mom told me the she planned to go on a trip to few foreign countries .
How can Mom imagine of going abroad in this condition. Mom said she wants to see the world once before going under chemotherapy.
I fought a lot with her but her decision was fixed. She talked so much about last chance and death and all that made Me feel so scared for my moms future . I can't loose my mom at any cost .
I asked her that I would accompany her , she refused , she has made this trip with my uncle and aunt . Uncle aunt says that they will take care of mom but still I am afraid.
Mom doesn't want me to miss my studies , and most importantly practice since I am the captain of my team.

After a lot of argument , Mom ordered me to go back to college . So here I am , sitting in the bus at 6 in the evening . I don't feel like going back to my apartment .
I feel like crying . 😢
Mom...

I started walking towards Mark's dorm room . It's the only hide out from my problems for now .

(Knock knock)
I bang on the door and within seconds it opens
Andrew is the one who opens it
" hey Aera 👋🏻" Andrew said 🙂

" hi" I said walking inside 😐

"Hey Aera" Maya's voice came from one corner.

" hey Maya! Where's mark?" I said looking around

" he's not here. He said he has some work and then he left " Andrew said

" you came at the right time Aera, we are going out to party !" Maya said excitedly

" which party?" I asked 😳

" remember, Ellie invited us ? I thought you won't come back today . But now that you're here , let's go together" Maya said pulling me out of there room

" I'll come pick you guys up at 8" Andrew shouted while we were leaving

" Maya , I don't feel like going" I said 😞

" come on Aera, it's a party , we all are going and Mark also said he would join us there" Maya said pulling me towards our apartment which was near our college.

I have no interest in going to any party . I just want some peace, I just want to hide away from the world for some time . Why do Mom has to go . She is not well . She is being so careless. She won't listen to me. And Mark's phone is also switched off.
I tried to tell Maya the reason why I don't want to go party , but she was so excited and busy in playing dress up makeup that she didn't even listen to me.

Maya forcefully dressed me up in a 👗 and by the time it was 8 , Andrew was at the door dragging us towards his car .
Both the lovey dovey couple were so happy to go to this party . Finally they have a chance to show the people of our college that they are a thing .
