The Goddess Rises

Chapter 7

Lia's POV

"Oh sorry I forgot that you were in here. Well I am the daughter of Selene, the moon goddess. And Leo is her son. That is the summed up version." I was cautious of his reaction.

"You are serious," he let out a laugh. "My father was right about you two."

"Your dad knew. That would explain a lot."

"What is coming in three months?"

"Perses. He is the God of destruction. He wants revenge on something my mom did. When we were born she went into hiding and she sent us to the woman who raised us. About six months ago we found all of this out from our uncle Helios and our aunt Eros."

"What is up with the three month deadline?"

"We have three months to train to beat him."

"What about the king and queen of the supernatural world part?"

"It was prophesied that the daughter of the moon goddess and her mate would rule the supernatural world. We would be the next King and Queen."

"And the current King and Queen where are they?"

"Dead. They didn't have any heirs so that is where we come in."

"Lia this is crazy."

"I know, believe me I know that this is by far the craziest thing ever but it is true."

Leo's POV

Lia was explaining everything to Alex when I caught the most mouthwatering smell. It smelled like pine and mint. I left her and followed the smell.

The smell lead me outside and a guy grabbed my arm. He had green eyes and light brown hair. He was perfect.

"What's your name?" we both asked at the same time.

"I will start, my name is Leo," I said.

"My name is Reid, Crook," he said.

He smelled like a wolf, " we are mates," I said.

"Yeah we are. Are you going to reject me?"

"No. I have seen what that does to a person so I promised myself that no matter who mate was I wasn't going to reject them. Are you going to reject me?"

"No."

We started talking about random things to get to know each other better. We eventually went back to the pack house. I felt bad that I left my sister but she had Alex so I didn't feel so bad.

Alex's POV

"Lia this is crazy," I said pacing the room trying to wrap my head around this.

"I know, believe me I know that this is by far the craziest thing ever but it is true," she said.

I stopped pacing to look at her. She looked defeated. I went to her and sat on the edge of her hospital bed.

"How about we talk more about this when I have had time to process this and when you are home, okay?" I asked her.

A look of hope reached her face, "deal. So when can I go home?"

"I will go ask the doctors."

"Alex..." she hesitated.

"Yeah?"

"When you told me I was a werewolf how did I take it?"

"You didn't believe me but then I showed you my wolf and you were curious. Asking like a thousand questions in under a minute. I think that you liked the thought of being a werewolf. Why are you asking?"

"Just curious I guess."

"Okay, I will go fetch the doctor's," then I left.

I found doctor Terrance. He told me that she could go home and if she had any memory problems to come back so they could run tests. I grabbed her clothes and we went back to her. She was sleeping on the bed. Terrance took out her IV's and then left. I woke her up and told her that we could go home. She took her clothes and I turned to leave the room when I heard a thump.

Lia had collapsed. I went to help her sit on the bed but she stopped me.

"Lia please let me help you. You have been on that bed for at least a week it will take time before you can walk on your own," I tried to reason with her.

She nodded and let me help her move her to sit on the bed. I asked if she needed help getting dressed and she blushed. I brushed the pad of my thumb against her blush. She looked at me then leaned in. I met her halfway and we kissed.

After a few seconds she pulled away then looked down. I turned her head up then kissed her forehead. She leaned into me and I wrapped my arm around her.

After a few minutes we got her dressed and I picked her up bridal style and carried her out to my car. I drove home and saw that she was asleep again. At my house I picked her up then carried her up to my room and set her down on the bed.

I went down to my office to catch up on pack paperwork. After about an hour of doing that I went back upstairs to find Lia trying to walk.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"I am not going to sit in here all day and wait until you can come help me. Beside I have to beat my three month deadline and lounging around all day won't help me," She said trying to take a step towards me.

I moved closer to her to catch her if she fell but she was able to take the step. She took another one and I took one back. That continue until she walked to the door.

"Ha I did it," She said laying back down after I was able to convince her to go to sleep.

"Yes you did. It is good for today but promise me that you will be careful," I said taking off my t-shirt, shoes and socks and climbing in bed with her.

"Fine but I have to be ready."

"I get that but I can't lose you again."

She snuggled closer to me and rested her head on my chest. "You won't lose me."
