Two weeks had passed and Leo and I had finished our training. That left one week to convince Alex to let me go out and fight. Leo had been acting strange but for some reason happier so I let it be.
"Hey sis can we talk?" Leo asked.
"Sure..." I responded.
He led me to a clearing about a mile away from the pack.
"Now you are freaking me out, and I thought that you were acting weird before," I said sitting down.
"Weird how?" he asked me not looking at me.
"You know, secretive but happy. Whatever you aren't telling me we can deal with it."
"I found my mate."
"That is amazing so when do I get to meet him."
"Him? How do you know?"
"I see everything. When we arrived at Hunter's pack and hulked out as you called it, every girl was throwing themselves at you but you didn't seem interested so that kind of leaves one other gender. If you are worried that you won't be my brother because you like boys you really are stupid."
"Really?"
"Yes. Look as long as your mate isn't the devil incarnate then we won't have a problem." I smiled as I said that.
"Thanks."
"So when do I meet him?"
"Soon I have to talk to him about it first but when he gives the okay you will be the first person we come and see."
"Perfect. Goodnight Leo."
"Goodnight sis."
I went back upstairs and took a shower then I crawled into the pink princess bed. A few minutes later I heard Alex sneaking in. He made something on the floor and then went to sleep.
~Dream~
'Lia where are you?' Alex asked frantically via mind-link.
Relax I am with Leo about a mile south of the training ground at the clearing. I will be back soon. I said to calm him down.
As soon as I got back Alex had me in his arms. There was no place I would rather be. We went up to his-our room dressed up in a peach and black dress. I put on a pair of black pumps and a black, three quarter sleeve, jacket. Alex had planned a fancy dinner for us. He dressed in a sleek black suit with a white long sleeve button up.
"Ready to go love?" He asked.
"As I will ever be," I answered.
Alex led me outside and for some reason, there was no one in sight. He revealed a blindfold to me and carefully slipped it around my eyes. He then took my hand and led me south. After nearly tripping twice Alex decided to just carry me to where ever we were going. Fifteen minutes of walking later Alex set me down and took off my blindfold.
I saw twinkly lights hanging from the surrounding trees. I saw a three-course meal set up on a beautifully decorated table for two. Everything was perfect. I looked around and saw Alex on one knee.
"I know that this is very short notice but I can't wait any longer. I love you with all my heart and I never want to let you go. Please do me the honor and become my wife?" He held out a red velvet box. Inside was a ring. The ring had a silver band with a ruby red gemstone in the center.
Was I ready to get married? As I opened my mouth to answer a gunshot sounded. Red to show through his shirt. Alex fell face forward in the dirt. I dropped down beside him and rolled him over so that his head was in my lap. Alex died and I never told him that I loved him.

I woke up gasping for air. It was all just one big nightmare. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that I was in my pink princess bed. Alex was sleeping soundly on a makeshift pallet of blankets. I grabbed my top comforter and went to lay by Alex. He shifted and snuggled me closer kissing the top of my head in the process. When I woke up I was back on my bed. Alex had left me. I wasn't sure if I should be mad at him or not. On the one hand, he did put me back in bed and on the other, he left me alone. Just as I was about make up my mind my door opened. I saw Alex coming in with a tray of food and I was no longer mad at him.
"You left me," I said digging into the food.
"I know and I'm sorry, but in all fairness, I did bring you breakfast. Don't worry I did not cook it your brother did," Alex said sitting at the foot of my bed.
"Thank you."
"Will you tell me what happened last night?"
"Well last night you said goodnight then I said goodnight-"
"You know what I mean. What happened in your nightmare?"
"Well, you called frantically. And when I came back we had a date lined up. So after getting ready you blindfolded me and carried me to our destination. It was a candlelight picnic out in the southern clearing. You started going on about everything that happened between us... then you got down on one knee... and then... you proposed to me..."
Alex looked so deep in thought that I thought that I broke him.
"... before I answered I... you... you were... you died..." in between each word tears were streaming down my face.
Alex put the food aside and held me in his arms. I snuggled closer and cried. Alex just hugged me tighter and let me cry.
Alex's POV
In her dream, I died. I saw the tears coming down her face and I held her in my arms. She shifted closer to me and I held her tighter. She cried and I let her. I must have been so lost in thought because when I looked at her again I saw that she cried herself to sleep. I stretched out on the tiny princess bed with her and willed myself to sleep with her.
I woke up and Lia was gone. I heard a noise come from the bathroom and I saw Lia hunched over the toilet with blood coming out of her mouth. I scooped her up and ran towards the pack doctors. I laid her down on the stretcher and they took her into surgery.
