You leaned closer to Junior, his scarlet eyes watching the generals with a boredom.

The Fangblade sit on the table, the generals regarding it as they discussed, for the third day in a row how to get to the rest and avoid the wrath of the ninja doing so.

And something kept running through your head. If Skalidor was strong enough to tear apart metal like paper, how did a librarian beat him in a slither pit? Not just him, but the rest of the generals present. You supposed that Skales probably wouldn't fight him, but that left two venomous Serpentine.

It was certainly something to ponder on.

A servant entered and sit a stack of paper on the table, a random pile of financial records and such, sitting it on the table with a quick bow and exiting.

Junior sighed and rolled his eyes, shuffling past you and back down the ducts.

You could swear Selma cut her eyes towards you as you followed Junior away.

The two of you exited back into the library, Junior replacing the grate.

You looked up. Large Serpentine hammocks hung from various supports in the great library. It was where Pythor went at night, when this place was empty save for the silent white-robed librarians.

He'd taken you with him the last few days, letting you sit in the curls of his tail as he read something and fed you things on Serpentine history.

You blushed slightly, it was something you'd come to enjoy quite a bit in your time in Ouroboros.

Junior walked out of the library with you close in tow.

"Pythor'sss voice is funny. I like how he sayss chapss," Junior mused, apparently with some destination in mind considering that he just kept walking.

"I like Pythor's voice," you said, thinking out loud more than talking.

It deepened the red on your cheeks, but apparently Junior didn't think anything of it because he started talking about how he wondered how Skalidor sit down with his spines, or Fangtom ate with his fangs.

"Um, where are we going?" you asked, hating to interrupt but you wondered how far you were supposed to go.

"To see Lloyd," Junior said, descending a stairwell.

    "Why?"

"Becaussse I've convinced him I'm dad- got the idea from you- and it really irritatesss him," he grinned.

    "That's cruel," you said.

You'd only met Lloyd once, watching him scream and cuss at Pythor for imprisoning him. He was a young kid, probably no older than Junior. He had a round face, his blonde hair in an almost comical bowl cut, the style of Darkley's boarding school, but it was growing out oddly now. He was a normal boy- in appearance- except for his blood-red eyes that marked him as son of the Dark Lord.

"Do you think he'll grow four armss too?" Junior asked.

"I have no idea," you said, though never thinking of that.

Junior stopped before two massive Constrictai guards, holding up his hand with the Hypnobrai symbol.

You did the same, both of them raising an eyebrow at the Anacondrai snake. But they opened the large gates behind them, letting you two past.

It only took you into a processing area, a Fangpyre behind a desk devoid of anything but a couple papers.

There were benches around with restraints on them.
