Dead Silent - Chapter Three

"James! James!"

"Just leave him! He's dead! I'm sorry, let's go!"

Everything was dark. But it was so loud. Gunshots, I could hear, and explosions. People screaming. Then, it was dark again.

"Hello, James." A beautiful woman said, "How are you feeling?"

I didn't say anything, I felt amazing though. I thought I had been drugged or something. She continued, "Do you know where you are?"

I looked around. She said, "Well, James?"

"How do you know my name?"

"Here, we know everything about everyone, because no one has anything to hide."

"What do you mean? You know my favorite color, and food, and animal?"

"Yes, James, everything. I'll give you the tour."

She started walking so I, hesitantly followed. It was so bliss, too bliss. "Don't worry about getting lost, James. Everything here looks different, so you will know where you have been, are, and will be. I'll also be with you during the entire tour. I'll stay with you. James, I'll stay with you-"

I opened my eyes. Explosions, more gunshots and havoc. "James, I'll stay with you, I love you."

I tried to lift my head and sit up but my arm was stuck under some debris from what I could tell was the RV. I looked around. "Oh my god, you're alive!" A girl sitting over me gave me a tight hug, "I thought I lost you."

She started crying. "Excuse me, can you help me get my arm out from under this stuff?" I asked.

She looked at me wierd. "Yes."

I said there should have been a jack in the trunk of the RV. Suprisingly enough, there was. Maybe today will be a good day. We started running because of everything that was going on.

After a while, the noise died down. We were far enough away to stay safe, I supposed. "So what did you see?" She asked.

"What do you mean?"

"When you were out!"

"I didn't know I was out at first, to be honest. What did you say your name was?"

There was a long pause. She stood, looking at the ground. I could see a tear form and drip from her left eye. I said, "What's the matter? I'm sorry if you already told me your name. I'm having really bad pain in my head."

"James."

"How did you-"

"James, I'm your best friend."
