Chapter 19

Ashley's POV

I walk in not knowing what to expect, I see Mackenzie sitting a a table on her phone. I sit next to her and just pretty much annoy the hell out of everyone.

"Hey Ashley." She says.

"What are you doing Kenzie?" I reply.

"Oh just online, listening to Fifth Harmony and Little Mix. You excited about your first day?"

"Yes, but I'm nervous, I am kind of a suspect in this case."

"Oh you'll be fine, trust me. Anything odd happen last night? I saw your window open like at 2 in the morning."

"Actually yes, my window was open and there was things moved around and a note."

"I bet it's just someone messing with you about this like Morgan or Donna. Don't let it get to you."

"Okay thanks Kenzie."

A man walks in holding a file while a bunch of workers come in. They stare me down like a new kid at school.

"Agents, we have a new person that will be working with us. Her name is Ashley Elswick. Please treat her like a normal friend."

I lean over and whisper to Kenzie, "They treat me like a 10 year old child."

"Yea, they did that to me to, don't worry." She whispers back.

"So we are looking on this case of Louise Nelson. Goes by the name Amelia, and in some cases Mackenzie. We are trying to figure out her thinking. What would make her do this to hurt or protect her brother?"

"Well, if you tie it together. Every person she has killed is connected to her brother in some way. She's psychologically protecting her family/ loves ones which means she had a horrible childhood or some event that has triggered her to do this." I speak up.

"Yes we got that, but what are these people doing?" A man with short brown hair says.

"Hurting her brother, or maybe agitating him in some way. Or possibly talking to him like saying hello to trigger her to do these things."

"There are millions of questions tied to this, but the main one is what event she came across made her do this." A blonde boy asks.

"Separation or something with her parents." I say.

"Who is her brother for starters. And, she had a perfect record of not even a parking ticket to being a world class serial killer." A red haired woman says.

"Her brother is obviously Niall Horan. And maybe she's two faced."

Everyone looks at me like I'm crazy

"Two faced?" Kenzie asks me.

"You know like, all sweet and innocent with a good record, and then without knowing anything she hurts citizens and does crime. It happens in a lot of cases. Most likely the person is crazy and instead of going to jail she goes to a mental hospital."

"It makes sense. But how did Becky Carter had anything to do with this? She's not even related to Louise and it's unnecessary really."

"Maybe so she can get a closer look at me or a second hand to help her. You never know."
