Chapter 25

Mackenzie's POV

After The Funeral

I didn't know what that yelling outside was about. I just heard Luke, Ashley, Calum, and Morgan yelling at each other and hearing Ashley say she was gonna leave. Me and Amelia get home, she goes to the bathroom while I call Ashley. But after 3 calls she don't answer. 

I'm scared, I truly am, I don't know what Luke said to make her leave. I would like to know. 

I call her one more time to ask Ashley if everything is all right and she finally answers.

"Hey Kenzie." She says in a sad tone.

"Hey Ashley, um, if this doesn't bother you, I would like to know why Luke was yelling at you." I say kind of nervous, I don't want to be rude asking.

"Well I need to tell some people about it. Remember last year after New Years?"

"Yes, I remember that day like it was yesterday. But why would Luke ask you about it?"

"He said I was hiding secrets from him. And he kept pressuring me to tell him. I finally gave in and told Luke, but he got mad that I kept that big of a secret from him." She says.

"Ashley if you need anything I am right here okay. Don't let anyone pressure you into telling them, he needs to understand that we were at Ashton's funeral and it's already hard enough. Do you want me to handle it while you figure out who this person is?"

"Yes, thank you Kenzie. That would be very nice of you. Want me to do anything in return?"

"No, you can save your time. I love you so much Ashley. I have to go now."

"Okay, and Kenzie?"

"Yes Ashley?"

"Thank you for being there for me through thick and thin, getting these bumps and bruises with me. I couldn't ask for anyone better. Emily, You, Morgan, and Anna are the only people I have, and I love you all to death and couldn't ask for anything. I love you, and all of you guys so much."

"I love you too Ashley, good bye." I say.

"See you later Kenzie, good bye means forever, and I promise that will never happen. To you or anyone."

She hangs up and I'm furious.

Why would Luke do that to Ashley? I pop my knuckles in frustration and decide to text Luke to get him straightened out.

-Hey, what the fuck was that at Ashton's funeral? Ashley has had enough stress at the moment and you don't need to be tampering with it!- Kenzie

I wait a few minutes for him to answer back, my iphone says he hasn't seen it yet.

Wait a second,

Amelia has been in the bathroom for to long. Almost ten minutes.

I drop my fork into the food I was eating and I knock on the door.

"Amelia? Amelia are you okay?"

No answer.

"AMELIA" I yell.

Still no answer.

I try to open it but it's locked. I take one of her bobby pins and try to pick the lock. But she's smart, she shoved cotton in the lock.

I can't think of anything to do. I charge toward the door to hear it crack. But nothing happened. I do it again and again and repeat the motion about 10 times. I finally pretty much break down the door.

She's laying in the floor. With a note on the sink. I can't believe what I am seeing right now. She just can't do this, she can't.

Why would she do this to herself? She's my Amelia.

Hey guys! Book is coming to an end slowly. But if you have read my other chapters it says that there will be a sequel. It's gonna be called Darkness Awaits At The Door. It's still gonna be Ashley's perspective with some key moments.  Hey, you never know there may be a third book. But the main question and hint is, What will Ashley do if she blames the wrong people?
