IT'S BEEN ABOUT THREE WEEKS since we met my mom's boyfriend and found out she's having another baby.

I peer over at my wife and notice she's still sleeping. I gently kiss her cheek and climb out of bed. I creep into the living room and call Korey. After three rings, he answers. "Hello?"

"Dude, I need help," I reply into the phone.

"Help with what?" Korey asks.

"Finding your sister a Christmas present," I answer. "Do you think maybe later you could come to the mall with me and help me find something to get her?"

"Sure," he answers. "What time?"

"I'd say about two. Is that cool?"

"Yeah, that'll work," he answers. "I'll see you then."

The call ends and that's when Keira emerges into the living room. "Mm, baby, how long have you been awake?" she asks as she rubs the sleepiness from her eyes.

"A couple minutes," I answer.

"Mm." She plops down beside me on the couch and stifles a yawn. "Who were you talking to?" she asks, cocking an eyebrow.

"Your brother," I answer. "Him and I are going to the mall later, so I can do something."

"Mm, fun," she answers. I get up from the couch and go into the kitchen to turn the coffee maker on. While the coffee brews, I lean against the counter. 'I hope I can pick Keira out a good present' I thought as I stifle a yawn.

Korey and I meet in the food court at 2:00. "Hey, man," he replies, doing the hug/hand slap with me.

"Hey, dude. How are you?"

"Tired," he answers. "Monica's been keeping Stefani and I awake all week. How are you?"

"Fantastic," I answer. "You ready to go start looking around?"

"Yep," he answers as we exit the food court and start walking around upstairs. "So, dude what kind of stuff does your sister like?"

"You've been with my sister for almost an entire year, man, and you're asking me what she likes?" Korey asks, cocking his eyebrow curiously.

"Well, dude, I want to get the perfect gift for her for Christmas, y'know. So, since you're the closet family member to her, I decided I'd ask you," I answer.

He chuckles. "You two are so freaking cute together," he answers.

"Thanks," I chuckle.

Korey chuckles again before we go into Bath & Body Works. As soon as I get a whiff, I physically gagged. 'Damn, how can women wear this stuff? It's so fucking strong and fruity smelling' I mentally complain.

"So, what fruity strong perfume does your sister like?" I ask.

"Anything that makes her smell like strawberries or cherries. Maybe you should get her some fruity smelling body wash and shampoo. What part of her will you be smelling more?"

"Mm, that's a tough question," I answer, scratching my chin. "I can buy her both shampoo and lotion."

Korey smiles at me. I get shampoo, conditioner, and lotion pack. Once we're done in Bath & Body Works, we go to Aeropostale. We also go to American Eagle Outfitters, Apple Inc., Build-A-Bear, Icing, Dry Ice, Footlocker, GameStop, Hot Topic, Journeys, Sketchers, Sony, Sunglasses Hut, Swim n' Sport, and Victoria's Secret Pink. As I'm looking through the bras, Korey whispers, "So, have you and Keira been doing any more sexual activity since the first time y'all had sex?"
