5 hours later, 9:00 PM...

It isn't that far, though we had stopped in the middle of our walk to sleep for a short time. That's why it took us longer to reach.

It was eerie, something's completely wrong. Jayden still stands close to me, hugging onto my arm. We stand in the middle of the main New York square, but there's something really off about the place.

There is nothing... NOTHING happening here.

It's a place that literally never sleeps but right now there are no advertisements, brainwashing people, running on the large LED screens. There is no one walking around, the place is completely deserted.

It is quite disconcerting, I feel as if we're in the wrong place. What happened while I was inside 'Eichen's House for the Mentally Ill'?!

WHOOSH!

A cold and sharp blow of wind hits our skin, I feel the hairs on my neck stand up. Jayden clings onto my arm more tightly. I bring her closer to me, her warmth making me feel better.

Her hands are freezing. I quickly move my hand away because it made the cold breeze feel worse.

"Do you... Do you want my hoodie?" I ask her and she hesitates at first but I remove it anyways and put it over her shoulders. "Thank you Eli," She says, wrapping her arms around herself.

"What do you think happened here? It's completely lifeless," Jayden states and I shrug, feeling concern rising within me.

Other than the breeze and our voices, nothing else can be heard. First, the locks on one of the most secure systems in one of the most sturdy of buildings in the city malfunction and cause everyone to roam free. Now, it feels as if Jayden and I are the only people in the area.

What the f!@# is going on?!

"Come on, let's... let's go the headquarters," I tell Jayden and she nods slowly. "The FSociety one?" She inquires and I nod.

"We can get some answers over there," I say and start to walk ahead, the tall and silently-watching skyscrapers watching over us intently.

*****

It feels like we are in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Sheets of paper, advertisements and flyers that aim to deceive and brain wash innocent and unsuspecting citizens, and food wrappers fly by us as we walk to the one story building by the harbour.

'Fun Society' arcade... Also known as the 'FSociety' headquarters, where a team of enthusiastic hackers changed the world. Whether it was a good change or not is a whole different story. I just... I wanted to save the world from the destruction of large conglomerates and people who have more power than they should.

Jayden and I walk down the narrow pathway between two buildings and walk through the door after pushing it open. A low CREAK! later, a glass bottle rolls to the side and the low hum of a gaming machine is all that can be heard.

We walk deeper into the arcade, which resembles something out of a horror movie. Lights flickering, our footsteps echoing as we move forward, I have a lot of questions and I know Jayden does too.

"Okay this looks great and all but didn't you mention that it was a 'team' of people in the 'Evil Corp.' hack?!" Jayden questions, "I don't see any team anywhere."

I clench my jaw, unable to come up with any sort of explanation for the lack of life anywhere in the city.

I start to pace around, running a hand through my hair and breathing heavily.
