Hayley's P.O.V
Today was the day where dad gets to show me how the whole hotel business works and also make arrangements for my party. Dad kept talking how much I was going to love the business during the car ride. I hope he does find a way to make me fall in love with it, because so far, all I want to do in life is make music. Not manage hotels. He parks his car in his very own parking space. It even had his name on it. George B. Smith. "One day, you'll have your own parking space, once you take over this place." he chuckles as we entered the hotel.
The glass doors opened automatically. The lobby was huge and glamorous. A giant cristal chandelier was hanging over a golden rug, white leather sofas and a coffee table. The floors were white and shinny. You could practically see your reflection on them. The front desk was made of white marble and it had the name of the hotel in gold. Smiths Hotel. The male employees were wearing all black uniforms with golden ties. The female employees were wearing black pencil skirts, a white top, black blazer, black high heels and a golden scarf. "Good morning Mr. Smith." said Bethany at the front desk.
"Morning Bethany." Dad smiles. "Is Miss Taylor here?"
"Yes, she arrived an hour ago. She should be at your office, waiting for you."
"Wonderful." He looks at me. "You remember my daughter Hayley, right?"
"Of course." Bethany smiled at me. "Glad to see you again Hayley."
I gave her a small smile. "How's the husband?"
"He's good, at home taking care of the kids." She chuckles. "I'm glad he has a week off from work, cause they're quite a handful."
Dad nods. "You know, we have a daycare center for the employees, if you need to bring the kids here."
"I know, but I don't like to bother."
"Oh Bethany, it's no problem at all."
"Thank you sir." She smiles softly. "Maybe I'll bring them next week."
"Well, if anything happens, I'll in my office." He said as he starts to walk away from the front desk. I followed him to the elevators. The inside of the elevator was glamorous as well. It had mirror walls, with a golden handle bar. It also had hard wood floors. Dad pressed a button with the number twenty on it. As we waited to get to our floor, I checked my phone and entered to all my social media.
By the time, I finished checking everything, we had reached to our floor. I followed dad to his office, which was at the end of the hall after passing through all the rooms. He pulls out his keys from his pocket, and opened a door that read: 'Employees Only'. Behind that door was a little hall that guided us to the meeting room, and the main office. He opened a glass door that read: 'Mr. Smith's Office'. Inside there was an office with huge windows (that reached to the ceiling, to the floor) with the view of the city, glass desk, a mini fridge, a small table with liquor and photos on the wall. Beside the desk there was a young woman, taking notes on a notepad.
"Good morning." said dad as we entered.
The woman stood up and let her notepad in the desk. "Good morning Mr. Smith." I had never seen her before, so I'm guessing that she's new. She had brown eyes behind dark red retro framed glasses, blonde hair tied up into a neat bun and had minimal makeup, with the exception of the red lip stick. She didn't have a uniform like the rest of the employees. She had a red, button up blouse, with the sleeves rolled up, a navy blue pencil skirt and red high heels, which it looked good with her petite figure.
"Miss Taylor, I would like you to meet my daughter Hayley."
"Pleasure to meet you. My name is Stephanie Taylor, I'm your father's personal assistant." She gives me a small smile.
