Lottie's P.O.V
"I doubt anything I'll say will change his mind." I said to Amber on the phone while I change my pajamas into my workout clothes.
"Please Lottie, just go and talk to him." she begs me. Amber and Rick broke up, because she won't support his decision to go to the military. Although I understand Amber's concern, Ricky is the one who has to make the decision.
"Fine, I'll go." I say in defeat. I give in mostly because I didn't like to see my best friend upset and I was sure Rick didn't break up with her because he didn't love her. "But, I can't promise anything."
"Thanks." She says as I put on a sports bra over a regular bra. I need doble support for these jugs. "So what are you doing?"
"I'm putting on my workout clothes and then I'm going for a jog around the neighborhood."
"Since when do you jog?" I heard Amber laughing over the speaker phone.
"I always jog! I just stopped for a while." When was the last time I went out jogging around the neighborhood? Probably since Kelly came back for senior year. May her soul rest in peace.
"Mhmm" she says in a sarcastic tone.
"Shut up." I said while I put my bright blue leggings.
"Anyways, how's Hayley?"
"She's good. She just texted me the details for her birthday party." I grab my phone that was on my nightstand and went to my closet to look for my sneakers. "It sucks that I'm not going to be there."
"Did you get her a gift?"
"Yeah, I made her a little something before I left." I smirked as I remembered.
\Flashback\
Alexis's beach house
After we ate lunch, Hayley and Bruce decided to continue the volleyball match. I decided not to play anymore. I didn't want to get hit on the head with the ball again. I see Christy and Jaime sitting on the beach chairs under the huge beach umbrella. "I'll be over there if you need me." I tell Hayley before she goes to play.
"Alright." She gave a smile and a small kiss on the lips.
I walk towards them and they look flirty with each other. Are they together? "Hey guys." I sit on a beach towel in front of them.
"Hey Lottie. Is your head feeling better?" Jaime asks.
"Yeah, I'm feeling better now." I gave him a small smile.
I see Christy with a camera in her hands. "That's a cool camera."
"Oh thanks."
"What kind is it?"
"It's a Canon 340."
"Christy is a great photographer." says Jaime with a mouthful of chips.
Christy blushes. "Oh you're just being modest."
"No I mean it, show her your stuff."
Christy hands me her camera and I look at the photos. Most of them were of nature and people posing. "Their amazing Christy." I smile to her. I then a photo of a girl posing in a motorcycle, and right then I had an idea. Hayley's birthday is in three weeks, and sadly I won't be able to be there. Since I'll be leaving home the week before. "Hey Christy, do you think you could take photos of me right here on the beach?"
