Hayley's P.O.V
Only a day left for my birthday and everything was going as planned. Stephanie it's been a great help organizing everything. She send the invitations, ordered the cake, hired security, the DJ and took care of the food.
Today I was at a boutique with Christy and mom, to pick up the dresses for my party. I got a red, v-neck dress that showed a lot of back. Christy got herself a silver, strapless dress, which I believe it would look amazing with her soft pink hair. While mom paid, Christy and I looked around the boutique. "Hey, would you be cool if I bring my sister as my plus one?" Christy asks me.
"Sure, I won't mind."
"Thanks, mom said I can't go unless I bring Emily with me." She rolls her eyes.
"How is Emily by the way?"
"She's good. She's going to be a senior this year." She picks up some earrings and tries them on in the mirror. "What do you think about these?"
"Mhm, I don't really like them." Christy puts the earrings back. ''By the way, have you asked Jaime to be your date yet?''
She shakes her head as she grabs another pair of earrings. "No, not yet.''
''Well what are you waiting for? My party is the day after tomorrow, you have to ask him now.''
''I know, but what if he says no?''
I roll my eyes at her. ''Trust me, he's not going to say no.'' I said as she tried on the other pair and showed me. ''I really like those.''
''Alright, but I'm worried that maybe he doesn't like me like I thought he does.''
''Trust me, he does like you, it's so obvious.''
She blushes a little. ''Alright then I'll ask him.'' She smiles a little and head to the counter to pay. ''I'll take these earrings.''
''So honey.'' I turn to mom. ''Are you excited for your party?''
''Yeah, although I wish Lottie could be there.'' The fact that Lottie wasn't to celebrate my birthday with me, was upsetting me, but I couldn't get that ruin my fun.
''I know, at least she was able to come here and share some lovely memories with you.'' she smiles at me and I give her a little smile. Christy finishes paying, we head to the car and mom drives back to the house. The drive mostly consisted in Christy and I listening to My Chemical Romance from my phone and us texting to our special person. After a long ride from Beverly Hills, we made it back to the house.
While we grabbed the shopping bags, mom head to the kitchen to make lunch. We go upstairs and went to my room. "When is your mom picking you up again?" I ask as I put down the bags by my bed.
"You're kicking me out." she says sarcastically.
"No, of course not I love having you here." I laugh.
She laughs as well. "I think she's picking me up at five. She did say she had a lot do to today."
"Well in the mean time, we can continue with our guitar lessons." Before I moved to Florida, I was teaching Christy how to play guitar since she always wanted to learn, but her mom believes that music would be a distraction from school.
"You know? When I move out and have enough money, I'll get my own guitar, but I'll most likely have to hide it from my mother until graduation." She says as the lays in my bed.
"Can't you just tell her that you like the guitar and there are things more important that studying?"
Christy chuckles. "Yeah, try to that to my Chinese mother."
"Right." I chuckle as I look for my guitar case in the walk in closet. "By the way have you told her about studying photography?"
"Yeah, and you can imagine how thrilled she was when I told her." She says in a sarcastic tone. "And she hopes that one day I'll change my mind and became a doctor or some shit like that."
I grab the guitar case from the closet and put it on the bed right beside Christy. "Well at least you told her, I still hav-" I stopped talking as soon as I opened the case, my jaw dropped and my eyes grew wide in shock. "What the fuck?!" I shouted.
"What is it?" she asks and then looks what's inside the case. She gasped. "Hayley, what happened to your guitar?"
As I look my broken guitar, tears fall down my face, not wanting to believe what I was seeing. "What the fuck happened to Gina?!" I then notice a little note, I pick it up and read.
"You broke my heart, so I broke your guitar. Next time you ignore me, I'll break something much more valuable than your guitar."
I wiped away the tears and feel my blood boil with anger, knowing exactly who did this. "Alexis. That's what happened."
"How can you be sure it was her?"
I give Christy the note. "It's her hand writing. Other than Lottie, she's the only person I know who writes in cursive."
"What are you going to do? Obviously she's not going to stop until you give her what she wants."
"And obviously I'm not going to do what she wants Christy." I close the case, not standing the sight of my guitar being smashed into pieces. "I warned her and I didn't want to do this, but I may have to put legal charges against her."
Christy's eyes grew wide. "Oh my god are you serious?"
"What else can I do Christy? She stalks me everywhere, she's threatening me and she broke into my house to break my guitar as a threat!"
"Okay you're right. That bitch is crazy."
"But I may have to do this after my party, cause I know it's gonna be a lot of work to do." I sigh deeply. "Can you pass me my phone?" Christy grabs my phone from my bed and hands it to me. I unlock it and called Stephanie.
"Hayley! How is everything?" she said as she answers the phone.
"Hey Stephanie, I'm good but I have a bit of a situation."
"What's wrong?" she asks in a concerned tone.
"I need you to hire a lot more security than you already did for the party."
"Of course, but did something happen?"
"I'll explain it to you tomorrow. See you at four?"
"Sure."
"Alright thanks." I hang up. "God I hope Alexis doesn't show up at my party."
"I doubt it, she's not on the guess list and there's going to be a lot of security."
"Yeah, but if she was capable of breaking into my house, I'm sure she'll find a way to sneak into my party."
"Dude don't worry, me and the guys are going to be there and we're not going to let that bitch ruin your birthday." Christy gives me a small smile.
"Thanks Christy." She hugs me tight as I began to feel anxious for what could happen in that party.
