After leaving Allison, Stiles, and Scott to find go home and find Jackson, I head back to the subway to find my brother.
"Hmm, Scott or Stiles?" I hear Erica say.
What is Derek up to?
"Either," my brother answers her as I walk in.
"You know the full moon is coming, Derek," Isaac says, following the alpha male closely.
"I'm aware of that," my brother states before opening a chest with a triskelion on the top of it, our mother's pack symbol. One of which I have tattooed on my left side.
Derek pulls out chains that my mother never dared use on us, and Erica says, "My, these look comfortable!"
"They're not," I state before grabbing them from her.
"You said you were going to teach us to change whenever we want to," Isaac continues talking to my brother as I toss the chains into the same pile that Derek was creating on the ground near Isaac's feet.
"There hasn't been time," Derek says.
"But if you have to lock us up during the full moon, that means you two are alone against the Argent's!" Isaac says.
"He's got a good point!" I point at the boy while talking to my brother.
"They haven't found us," Derek closes the chest and walks away.
"Yet," Isaac says, not moving from his spot, "So how about we forget the kanima?"
"We can't!" Derek yells at him, "Look, there was something about the way Gerard looked at it. He wasn't afraid, at all. Now, I don't know what he knows or what he's planning. But I'm sure about one thing. We have to find it first!"
"Not it. Jackson," I state with my arms crossed.
"What do you mean?" Derek asks.
"The kanima's not an it. The kanima is Jackson," I state while walking toward him, "Look, Allison is having Lydia translate the pages of the bestiary so we can figure out more about it."
"Why is Lydia doing it?" he asks coldly.
"Because she knows archaic Latin apparently," I shrug before jumping up and sitting on a nearby barrel, "Plus, Lydia was bitten by Peter so she's something. We just don't know what yet."
"Aren't you supposed to be at school?" he turns on his heel to walk away from me.
"Probably, but I'm ahead so I can miss a few days!"
I can hear the eye roll in his voice, "Go to school."
"Look at you, mister responsible father figure!" I roll my eyes and laugh, "I was just coming for a change of clothes."
I hop off the barrel and walk to the train car with my stuff in it. I change into a pair of distressed skinny jeans, a crop top, a jacket, and booties before fixing my hair and makeup.
I grab my bag and yell to Derek, "Aren't you glad that I'm getting my education big brother?"
"Yes, I am. Now get out of here!" he yells back before letting a slight chuckle leave his body.
"Whatever! Love you too, Derek!" I laugh at my older brother before I completely leave and get in my car to go to school.
On my way to school, I get a text from Allison asking me to meet her in the library. Which I do.
Careful of the cameras, I get there just before Allison and just after Scott and Stiles. I join the two boys in between two of the bookshelves where you can see through to the other side.
