Chpt 9 "MY POISON AND MY CURE"

~Clary's POV~

"What are you doing here?" I ask Zach when he pulls over in the hotel's door. "I am expecting Daniel"

"Well, Daniel couldn't come here so i did" He says as it wasn't a big of a deal

"Why is that so?" I ask

"I'll tell you while we are in the car, get in!" He hurries me

"We are not running late, why are you in such a hurry?" I ask without getting in

"Just get in!" He says. I was about to do so when i hear Daniel

"Zach?" He asks confused

"He couldn't make it, right?" I roll my eyes and close the door

"Bro, Daniel!" Zach smiles "You made it! Take your girl, i have to go to this th- this thing..." he starts the engine and droves away

"What was all that about?" I ask Daniel

"I think he is trying to get you back?" He says uncertain

"I thought we agreed we would be friends" I tell him and get inside Daniel's car

We arrive to the VMAs and Daniel left with the boys to answer some interviews.

"Clary over here!" i hear someone call. I look over to where the voice is coming from and see a woman with a microphone "Could you answer some questions?"

"Sure!" i smile

"We wanted to start of by asking about the Why Don't We boys, Zach and Daniel..." She begins, of course they would ask about that "So rumors are that you are now dating Daniel, is that true?"

"We are not dating officilay, i guess we are just trying to see how we would work together as a couple" i simply answer

"What about Zach? is he mad at you guys?" She asks

"I don't think he is mad , we talked about it and we are better as friends. Our relationship wasn't good for any us" i replay

"Okey then, what about you, what are your plans?" The woman asks

"Well, for now i am going to continue with youtube, and i have been getting some offers to play a role in some movies. But i don't know yet if i'm going to get into that acting stuff" i answer

"That's great, good for you! Well, thank you for answering our questions" She says and walks to the next person

I get inside and go to my asigned seat. I was sitting next to Ariel, and the boys were just some seats away from us

"Tell me right now what is going on with you and the boys" she demands as soon as i sit by her side

"First of all, Hi. Secondly i don't even know myself. I mean it is complicated." i say

"Here is what i think. Zach cheated on you, you gave him a second chance, he blew it away, Daniel came out and said he likes you and now you are a thing" she says

"Wow, that's why you are my best friend" i smile

"Hold on, i didn't finish. Now Zach and you talked about it, you said you'd be friends. Zach is still trying to get you and you are afraid you are falling back for him"

"WRONG!" i laugh "I'm not falling back for him"

"Right, you never stopped liking him" she grins

"No Ariel, i don't, he hurted me badly" i cross my arms

"That's were you are lying. Come on Clary, you had a crush on this guy, and when i was with you he didn't seem like a bad guy. I know he cares about you, and you care about him as well. You like him, admit it." she dares me

"Even if i did like him i'm with Daniel now" i look down

"Clary" she gets serious "If you feel something for Zach, don't hurt Daniel that way. I know he really likes you, geez Clary, he loves you. So don't do anything stupid to hurt him"

"I won't cheat on him EVER" i tell her "But you are right abbout something, i should tell him that i've never stoped liking Zach" i sigh "But not today, when the right moment comes"

"And when will that be exactly?" she asks

"I don't know yet" i whisper.

Ariel made me realize. No matter what Zach did to me, i still liked him. I know he is not just that player and fuckboy. He is also sweet, cute, funny and loving boy. But i can't ignore any of thos two parts. Zach is my poison, but also my cure. And poor Daniel, he was just caught in between my toxic realtionship with that handsome boy named Zach Herron.
