Chpt 10 "GO, GET YOUR GIRL"

~Clary's POV~

Talking with Ariel made me realize something, really important. However i don't think it's a fair thing to do to Daniel. I mean, he is so nice, but i've never seen him as a boyfriend, more as a friend. And although i will break his heart, is better to clear that out now.

I got to the bathroom to freshen up a little bit. When i go out i pump into Zach.

"Oh Hi" i smile, he looked embarrassed "Zach you don't have to be embarrassed" i giggle

"No, right, hi" he smiles. I missed his smile.

"Soo... how are the VMAs treating you?" I ask

"Oh um good" he scratches the back of his neck

"Alright.." i stand there awkwardly "I should go then" i try to walk past him but he moves that way and we pump into each other again

"Oh are you okey? I'm sorry" he laughs, i laugh as well

"Yeah Yeah don't worry about it" i smile at him

"You go left, i'll go right" he says

"Wouldn't we both going to the same side?" I chuckle

"Oh yeah right" he moves so that i can walk by

"See you around then" i leave before hearing a response.

"Guess who?" Daniel covers my eyes from behind

"Let me guess, umm, he is tall, brown hair, he is wearing a suit and looks good on it, oh and he has a giraffe neck" i laugh

"Hey!" He punches me playfully

"Daniel, i pump into Zach back there, i don't think he is okey. Can you go check on him please?" I ask him

"Sure baby" he smiles and kisses my hand before leaving

~Zach's POV~

I was starstruck. Her smile, her laugh, her hair and her perfume. It was all just perfect. And i had lost it all in a fraction of a second.

I wash my face and look into the mirror. I keep trying to figure out what came over me. Why wasn't she like all the girls i've ever been with? Why can't i take her out of my mind?

"Zach?" Great. Daniel is in here

"Hello bro" i fake smile

"What's wrong?" He asks

"Um nothing?" I try to convince him that i was not heart broken

"Clary told me to check on you" he says "come on sit" he pats the floor next to him

I do as he says "Daniel i'm f-"

"You can talk to me Zach" he interrupts "Even if it's something about Clary"

"I don't know if that's a good idea" i say

"I do" he says firmly "Spit it out"

"I-i think i love her" i confess

"You told me that before, and you still cheated on her..."

"But this is different." I say "I can't get her put of my mind"

"I know. She has that thing" he sighs

We stay a little bit in silence.

"You know it's okey" he says suddenly

"What? What is okey?" I ask confused

"That you still love her" he shrugs

"Um Daniel you are with her now so it's a bit awkward" i hesitate

"Nah it's fine. I always felt i was in between your love story. I'm just another chapter Zach. But you, you are the whole sequel" Daniel says to me

"You now i don't get those metaphors" i say and he chuckles

"What i mean is, that even if i wished it wasn't true, she loves you. And I'm trying to deal with it. But i know it will end. You both love each other, no matter how toxic you are for each other" He sighs in relief. Like he had been waiting so long to say those words

"So? Now what?" I ask not certain what he was asking me to do

"Go, go out there. Get your girl Zach" he half smiles. My eyes open in surprise and i stand up in only one jump "Wait!" He says before i leave "Don't mess it up again!" I smile broadly and disappear through the door.
