Hue hue hue, here's my submission, MMHunter! I tried to include the elements as best as I could, though they're a little shallow. Hope that's okay D': But I had a ton of fun with this one so... enjoy! XD

Corrin awoke to the sound of a blade whistling through the air, knowing full well who it was. Scooting up from underneath the covers, the young princess stepped away from her bed's warmth and groped her way blindly through the dark room, reaching towards the window.
Peering out from behind the heavy drapes, the silhouette of a certain Crown prince could be seen illuminated against the soft light of the moon, swinging a wooden training sword to and fro, parrying and riposting against an imaginary enemy. Puffs of breath surrounded him, revealing themselves in the chilly autumn weather. As late as it was, midnight, the prince was still training.
Xander! He's back!
The Princess stepped back from the windowsill and hurried out the room, bare feet pattering across the solemn hallways.
"Brother!" She cried, exploding through the doors and leaped towards Xander. The Prince gave a start, being shook from his thoughts, and smiled tiredly, setting his sword down.
"You shouldn't yell so loudly, little Princess. You'll wake the entire Fortress up."
Corrin laughed his comment away. "More importantly, where've you been? Jakob told me that Father had sent you out on a mission. What'd you do?"
A haunted look passed over Xander's features, like a dark cloud hovering over his head.
"I... was ordered to suppress a growing rebellion near Nohr's border..."
Corrin cocked her head to the side, not fully understanding what he'd said. "Suppress? You mean, like negotiating, right?"
Xander shook his head and sighed, a white puff of air leaving his lips and dissipating in the cold breeze. "No, little Princess. Not negotiating."
He hung his head dejectedly, gritting his teeth. For the first time, Kamui saw his prideful facade as the Crown Prince of Nohr, as solid as it was, crack.
"I... I killed someone," he rasped out. "I'd... never killed anyone before... He was a soldier. A man with a life, a family, a future. A man who just wanted to be free..." Xander kneeled down, placing his head in his hands and sobbed. "What right did I have to take his life away from him? To cause grief to his family? Did he have a lover? Children? Younger siblings such as I? Gods... can I truly become a King of Nohr, if it means I have to do this?"
Corrin knelt down beside her brother, tears cascading down her face as well. It wasn't like Xander to be so shattered — then again, he was only fifteen, barely a man.
"It's not fair..." she cried. "For Father to force you to do such a thing... that can't be right!"
The Prince jolted up and looked at Corrin with wide eyes, as if he'd forgotten she was still there. Immediately, his impenetrable heir-to-the-throne mask reformed, and his once despair-filled eyes hardened. Xander stood up and comforted his distraught sister, shaking his head.
"Forgive me, Corrin. I didn't — I didn't mean to hurt you." He knelt down on one knee, fallen dry leaves crackling beneath his weight, and made eye contact with his sniffling sister.
"I am a child of Nohr, faithful and a loyal servant to our King. As Crown Prince, and a member of the royal family, it's my sworn duty to fight in the name of Nohr. Bloodshed is... unavoidable." Crimson eyes filled with regret, and Xander steadied his grip on Corrin's shoulders.
And one day, you too, little Princess, will have to make sacrifices for what you believe in.

For what I believe in...
Xander's words from so many years ago echoed in her mind as she stood, shaking hands grasped around the hilt of her sword.
I can't... I can't do it...!
The former Princess of Nohr never wanted any of this to happen. All she ever wanted was to make things right... to end the conflict between the two lands... to one day see all of her siblings, Nohrian and Hoshidan, together as one family.
She screamed, a tortured cry, and the Yato descended in a perfect arc, an arc that promised lasting peace...
and snuffed out the desperate flicker of light left in his body.
Blood splattered against her armor, face, and sword.
The blood of a father-figure... a brother...
The blood of a sacrifice.

I'm such a noob at writing. It was a little rushed in the middle and towards the end, but altogether it was okay, I think??
