"Why are you in my house?" I ask sitting down across from Liam in the dining room.

Jamie giggles for some mysterious reason and sits down on my lap in the chair.

"Hmmm.......That is a very good question," Liam rubs at his chin smiling.

Jamie giggles a little more covering her mouth.

"What's so funny, doofus?" I raise my eyebrows at her and Liam tries to copy my stern look.

"Nothing, I'm going to go buy some supplies." Jamie jumps down off my lap and pulls her sneakers on.

"What type of supplies?" Liam and I ask at the same time.

"Something a little illegal, so shh..." Jamie swings the front door closed.

"Well that was interesting," Liam smirks at me.

"Stop ignoring my first question," I glare.

"Ok, ok... I was here because I followed you home but, then I fell asleep in my car so I wasn't sure if you were home or not. I fully intended to knock on the door but, the door was unlocked so I let myself in. Then, Jamie came in like a bat out of hell and gave me a good one across the face." Liam laughs at the end of his explanation like it's the most hilarious thing ever.

"So you're a stalker? I understand," I let a small smile slip but then pull it back.

"I prefer the term ninja," Liam smiles.

"You're a creep," I snort.

"That is so not how you talk to someone that likes you," Liam leans forward towards me.

"Well let's just say I don't know the rule book. I don't talk to many people besides Jamie," I tell him smiling sadly.

"Well go ahead and add me to that list because you will be seeing alot of me even if I have to use my mad ninja skills," Liam karate chops the air.

"Can I ask you a question?" I ask him.

"As long as I get to continue to hear that beautiful voice of yours," Liam looks oddly serious.

I swallow. "Why the interest in me?"

Liam smiles and leans back in his chair. "Well that's an easy question. You're so.......different."

You don't know the half of it. Suddenly I am overwhelmed with the thought of telling him that I am bipolar and that my parents plan to ship me off to an insane asylum in the middle of the desert. But I won't tell him. I CAN'T tell him. I like the attention he gives me and I don't want to lose it.

"Get out!" I jump out my chair.

"This isn't goodbye," Liam warns me sweetly before stepping out of my house.

I slump to the floor and let my head fall between my wobbly knees. I breathe heavily trying to get my emotions under control. My thumping heart  beats irratically in my chest and my skin feels heated, I let the first few tears slip from my eyes and drip from the tip of my nose to the tile floor of my kitchen.

"Ican'tdothis....Ican'tdothis....Ican'tdothis...." I mumble over and over into my knees as I cry.

A throat clears. I look up to see my parents standing in front of me.

"What do you want?" I rub at my runny nose furiously with the back of my hand.

"Just--just--," My dad stutters.

"We called a vicinity where we think you should be committed. We are going to visit it tomorrow. Here's the brochure," My mom hands me a white, blue, and red brochure with the words ANDERSON INSTITUTE FOR THE MENTALLY INCAPPABLE(AIFMI).

"I don't want to go," I sob. "T-tomorrow is my birthday,"

"Consider it your birthday gift." My mom turns on her heel and walks away from me. My dad looks down at me sadly.

"We love you, Rose. Don't consider this a bad thing. I just want you to get better. Aand getting better does not mean change. Do not change on me," He kneels down in front of me and I throw my arms around his neck.

"I love you too daddy!!" I sob into his neck and he rubs my back gently.

"Please don't change," I feel my dad's arms tighten around me and I just cry harder.
