This is more of a platonic one-shot between the reader and the Host.
Today had been far from an easy day. It seemed everyone was after you today and just wanted you to everything for them. Your boss was practically like your shadow. Always yelling at you when you did even the slightest thing wrong. To make matters worse your car, back at where you work, decided not to start. So you had to walk home with while carrying all the work you had to finish by tonight and some of your more personal items. You were maybe about 10 minutes away from your house when it started pouring down rain. You quickly ran home before the papers you were carrying got too wet and damp.
You grabbed your key from your pocket and unlocked the door. Walking inside you hurridly removed your coat, slipped off your shoes, and put the stack of papers on the table. You walked into the living room and sat down letting out a contented sigh. You laid there with your eyes closed for a minute just relaxing before you heard someone walk in.
"The Host walks into the living room and stops at the doorway. The Host asks (y/n) if they are alright."
Looking up you noticed the Host had walked in true to his word. Regarding his question from earlier, you answered him.
"I'm okay Host, just a little tired and exhausted is all."
The Host looked a little conflicted with himself. He knew that you had lied. That you were just more than tired.
"The Host asks (y/n) if they would like to watch some of their favorite movies to help them relax."
"Aw Host, you don't have to do that for me."
"The Host insists."
"Alright, I'll find some movies for us to watch and go get some snacks."
"Let the Host get the snacks. The Host thinks that (y/n) should just pick out the movies and relax."
"Oh, okay." Surprised and not wanting to upset the Host you just decided to let him pick out the snacks while you picked out which movies you wanted to watch. You heard the Host leave the room and walk to the kitchen. After finding out what movies you wanted to watch you sat back down on the couch and waited for the Host to come back from the kitchen. When the Host reentered the living room he was carrying a handful of your favorite snacks and a big bowl of popcorn. He set down the snacks on the table in front of you two and sat down next to you.
"Thank you Host, you know you didn't have to do this for me."
"The Host insists that it was no trouble at all. He cares about the health and safety of his friend. If (y/n) is friends with the Host."
"Aw, Host, of course, we're friends. I wouldn't trade you for the world." The Host blushes a little from your compliment.
"The Host is glad he is friends with (y/n) and also wouldn't trade them for the world."
Sitting closer together and draping a giant cozy blanket over you two, you both lay back on the couch and watch the movie. By the end of the night your both snuggling each other. Completely asleep you fail to notice the small smile Host has. The day started off rough but ended nicely for both of you.
