Ch. 50

Adrian's POV- May 2017

I looked at Sophia as she took a seat next to me.

"You're going to share that, right?" I asked.

She laughed and took a sip of the margarita she was holding.

"No, but I can go get another"

"Who is giving you alcohol?" I wondered.

Soph is a year younger than me, and I wasn't even 21 yet. We both were technically not legal to drink in the States...yet

"Mari"

Willy chuckled.

"I'll be right back"

I gladly took the margarita from her and took a sip of it.

"You're not driving, right?"

I shook my head. 

"Nah, we're taking an Uber to my place," I told him.

He nodded.

"Ana mentioned that you're going to be living with Soph next season"

"Yes" I confirmed.

I smiled at him and took a gulp of the margarita.

"How'd you do that?"

I shrugged.

"I asked her, and she told me to ask her mom, so I did" I stated.

"Just like that?"

I nodded.

"What did Lorenzo have to say about it?"

"Not much, he agreed to whatever Dina said" I answered.

He turned to look across from our table where Dina and Lorenzo were.

"I want Ana to spend at least a month in Sweden with me, but I don't know how to ask"

I raised an eyebrow.

"Are you telling me that you've been here for 3 days, and have not asked?" I wondered.

"I don't know how to ask!"

"You just ask" I stated.

I shrugged.

"The worst he can say is no" I added.

"You're right there"

I took another sip of the margarita.

"Have you at least asked Mari?" I questioned.

"Yeah, she told me to ask her dad"

"Then do as told, but not today" I said.

They weren't leaving on their honeymoon for another 2 days, so he had time.

"Remember to ask George too" I reminded him.

I laughed as he took the margarita from me and proceeded to take 3 giant gulps.

"Is Sophia going to Sweden with you?"

"Yeah, once school is over" I replied.

School wasn't over for her until the second week of June.

"Will she be there all summer?"

"I don't think so, last year she visited for a little more than a month. She has conditioning for gymnastics, and that starts late August maybe early September" I stated.

"What are your plans for the offseason?"

"To gain weight" I confessed.

Willy laughed because he had gone through the same issue a few years back. He was currently full time with the Maple Leafs so it was obvious that he had listened to them.
