Ch. 30

Sophia's POV- September 2016

"What do I wear?" I asked Adrian.

He looked at me and smiled.

"What you're wearing now is fine"

He laughed as he got a pillow to the face. I was wearing a crop top and a pair of short shorts not meant to be seen in public.

"I'm kidding, wears jeans please? I don't want the guys thinking I caused those bruises"

"You could have warned me" I complained.

He set the pillow on his lap and looked down at his phone.

"It's casual, apparently I'm not the first to ask"

I shook my head and grabbed my overalls.

"Look away" I said.

He frowned.

"Really?"

"Yes really, I'm mad at you" I told him.

He rolled his eyes and looked down at his phone. I shimmied off my shorts and glared at him when he groaned.

"Why do you do this to me?"

I wiggled my hips at him as I slipped on my overalls.

"I told you to look away" I warned.

I cleared my throat getting him to look at my face. He had been looked at my injured foot.

"How's that broken nail?"

"Gone, it fell off during practice" I answered.

He scrunched up his nose and I nodded as I sat next to him to put on socks.

"Are you really mad at me?"

I smiled and shook my head.

"You just caught me off guard" I said.

I slipped on my shoes and smiled as I placed my legs on his lap. He got the hint and tied my shoes for me.

"Thank you" I told him once he finished tying my shoes.

I tugged on my hair band and quickly brushed through my semi-dry hair.

"Take a jacket"

"There's one in your car" I replied.

He nodded and I grabbed my purse.

"That bruise looks a lot worse than it did two days ago"

I laughed because he was right. The bruise on my thigh was currently the color of the rainbow. 

"You had nothing to do with it" I stated.

I fell off the balance beam during practice a couple of days ago. I tried not to fall, and while trying to regain my balance I fell hitting my thigh with the beam. It was the beginning of the season, when I met Adrian I always wore pants around him because he would have probably freaked out if he saw my legs. 

"Do you know where Teddy is? He's got my car keys"

"He's in the lot helping with move in" I said as he followed me out.

He nodded.

"So when is Jaclyn coming?"

"I'm picking her up from the airport Tuesday morning" I replied.

We made our way out of the building and towards the parking lot.

"Can we watch Bones when we get back?" I asked.
