A year later.

“Babe, where’s Tom?” Nathan shouted from the pantry.

“I don’t know, he went out. Meeting a couple of fans, maybe,” I yelled back from the sofa at the back of the bus.

I can’t believe how time really flew by fast. One minute, I was with Tom in London awaiting the final results of the boy band. The next minute, The Wanted happened. I was glad that the boys from the band were really nice. Siva & Jay made the final cut. And who would have known, Max from the one I met in the train was also part of the boy band. The newest boy that I had to meet was one of my age, Nathan Sykes. Real witty, real sarcastic. But that made the band and I’ve never seen Tom happier in all my life.

“What are you wearing for tonight,” Lea chirped in as she flung herself on the couch next to me.

“Anything in the luggage, I suppose,” I shrugged as I continued reading the lyrics Tom had wrote the previous night.

“Girls, let’s go for a quick stop at the mani,” Nareesha quipped.

“Sounds like a good idea!” Lea replied immediately.

“Be back here by 5 then yeah,” Siva interrupted the girly giggles and hugged Nareesha.

“I’ll give it a miss, girls. Where is Tom by the way?” I asked in general.

I got up and went over to the pantry to look at the window that overlooked the huge space outside. There were a group of girls outside and I saw Max and Tom giving a couple of them hugs and pictures.

“Not jealous are you?” Nathan asked from behind.

I shook my head and smiled. Despite knowing Jay and Siva a bit longer than I knew Nathan, we instantly clicked. I liked his carefree ways and it was always fun to talk to him. Tom said we were like the best of buddies since when I’m not with Tom, I usually spent my day with Nathan.

“Why would I be? I’m happy when he’s happy,” I said.

“He’s lucky to have you. You’re the only one here who doesn’t go into some jealousy fits when he hugs or kiss some girl,” Nathan said as he blew off steam from his cup of tea.

“Thanks, I guess,” I shrugged and pour a cuppa for myself.

“By the way, the lyrics you and Tom wrote last night is amazing,” I casually said as I took a seat at the small dining area.

“You think so?” Nathan asked as he slowly sipped his tea.

“’Course it is. I like it,” I nodded as we both sat looking out of the window to see the group of girls taking a group photo with the boys.

“I reckon you should go out and meet your fans,” I said after a while.

“I like sitting here and talking to you,” Nathan said, smiling.

“You’ll have a whole day to talk to me. In case you didn’t notice, I practically live here,” I laughed. “Get out!” I continued.

He stood up and rolled his eyes, laughing a bit.

“Fine, then. By the way Erny, I like you,” Nathan said as he was almost out the tour bus door.

I didn’t know how I was supposed to take what he said but I felt a blush creeping on my cheeks.
