“I said do something fun Erny! Not stupid! Jeez,” Lea nagged as soon as we got back to the apartment.

It was a quiet walk back home. Well, Lea stomped most of the walk back, anyway while I towed behind miserably. I knew one hell of a nagging was waiting for me as soon as I got home. The only reason Lea didn’t blew up right there and then at Starbucks was because of the confused look plastered on Jay’s face.

Lea had pulled Jay aside and whispered some things to him and he must have been one understanding person because he nodded and gave her a peck on the forehead and whispered to her to call him later. Then, he left.

“That wasn’t stupid. Believe it or not, it was sort of fun to be seeing him again,” I mumbled as we stepped into the living room.

“What is wrong with you? He cheated on you!” Lea yelled as she animatedly swung her arms.

“I DON’T KNOW OKAY! I DON’T KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME! ALL I KNOW IS, THROUGH OUT THE WHOLE TIME I MOVED TO LONDON, NO MATTER WHAT, IT’S HARD TO ERASE HIM COMPLETELY, ALRIGHT!” I yelled, finally losing it.

“SO HE COMES TO LONDON AND YOU MEET HIM AND FORGIVE HIM?” Lea yelled back, exasperated.

“I DIDN’T MEET HIM TO FORGIVE HIM!” I shouted, tears were already stinging my eyes. “I forgave him before I left,” I said quietly.

Lea went wide-eyed.

“You won’t understand,” I said quietly, sinking myself in the couch and already having tears streaming down my face.

“Then, make me understand Erny. Please…” Lea begged, as she sat herself down beside me.

The next hour or so, Lea & I huddled on the couch. I, in tears, as I let out all that was in my head since the day the first text from Tom ever came in and Lea, just sitting in front of me listening. That was one reason I could always count on her, she listens.

“I don’t know … there’s just something about him …” I whispered as I let out the last of all that was inside my head.

“Babe… why didn’t you tell me any sooner,” Lea said quietly as she reached out to wipe the tears on my face.

“You hate Tom… that’s why,” I said, smiling just a bit.

“I don’t hate him. Honestly. I hate what he did to you,” Lea replied, rolling his eyes. “But if you want to see him again, I won’t stop you. I just don’t want you hurt,” she continued, a little more firmly.

“I don’t know if he ever wants to see me again,” I shrugged.

“Maybe we can sleep these thoughts off, it’s been a long day,” Lea said, pulling me up to my feet. “Anyway, I know I’m not spending loads of time with you but Jay wants to grab breakfast tomorrow morning. You want to join?” as we dragged our feet to my room.

“Spend all your time with him, for all I care. Just glad you’re here in London with me. Plus, I don’t plan to wake up so early on a Saturday,” I said as I plopped myself on my bed.

Lea lay herself beside me and flicked her phone on.

“You two should just get together. Night, Lea,” I snickered as I rolled over to my side.

“Night Erny,” Lea said though I knew she was blushing as I heard her put her phone to her ear for another call with Jay.

“I’m sorry for what happened tonight. I hope Lea isn’t giving you a hard time. I haven’t said a lot of things I wanted to. Especially the apology I owe you. I don’t know where to start but I’d like to see you again. – Tom Parker”
