“What is she doing here?” Tom asked soon as he walked in.
“What is he doing here?” I asked Siva, ignoring Tom.
“I’m sorry, I’m his band mate,” Tom replied sarcastically.
“Oh I’m sorry I was visiting a friend,” I snapped.
“Friend? You haven’t called for more than a year!” Tom huffed and rolled his eyes.
“Will you two shut up?!” Max snapped and stomped his foot.
Silence.
“Erny, everything alright?” Max asked kindly, his moon-sized eyes softening.
“Umm… yeah. I should probably go,” I replied quietly, grabbing my purse.
“Erny, I’m so sorry,” Siva apologized as I stood up to leave.
“Don’t worry about it,” I shrugged my shoulders and gave him and Nareesha a half smile. “Good to see you, Max,” I said, brushing past Tom.

“Erny, hope you’re doing alright. Heard everything from Seev. Y’know, Nath and Bird is just concerned. Seev and I really hope you’re okay. You can call us, anytime. –Max” my phone beeped as I sat at my work desk, finalizing some paper work.
It’s been two weeks since the whole incident at Siva’s apartment. I haven’t seen them since then, except for the occasional notes I get at my door from Nathan.
“Hey max, ‘course I’m alright. Well, better anyway. I hope Bird and Nath are okay, themselves. Send them my thousand apologies, yet again. My love for you lads.”
I replied as I looked up to the frame sitting on my work table.
It was a picture we took at the beginning of their Arena tour, a candid but a beautiful one, nonetheless.
I picked it up and traced my forefinger on the picture, letting memories flooding back on the day the picture was taken.
*FLASHBACK*
Tom and Max were in front of the mirror, trying to figure out the choreography for “Invincible”. Siva and Jay were on the floor, watching them intently trying not to burst out laughing. Lea and I just stepped into the studio with a tray of Starbucks coffee and some doughnuts. Soon as we set them on the table, Lea joined Jay on the floor, cuddling close and I found myself sitting beside Nathan as he played “Warzone” on the piano. I watched him play for a while before he lost his focus and we started joking around. Before we knew it, we were both on the floor, tickling the life out of each other and disrupting the entire practice session.
I heard Lea mentioning something like “aw, they’re cute,” but brushed it off as soon as Nathan attacked me with another round of tickling.
Siva being the sentimental one had exclaimed we should take a photo in the studio and had stood up to grab his camera in his bag. Nathan and I stopped tickling and were just laughing as we joined the rest of the group in the centre to get ready for a photo. I remembered having my arms around Nathan before Tom squeezing between us to be beside me. In that time, it was all just plain joking around.
We had asked Murray, the guitarist, to help us with the various shots we took. One was a formal one, you would say, where we all smiled to the camera. The other was the candid one, Max had stuck out his tongue while Tom had jumped on Seev’s back, Seev had his hand around my shoulders and I was just laughing at their antics. Lea and Jay were kissing each other.
Nathan was… Nathan was looking at Siva and me…
*END FLASHBACK*
I traced my fingers along Nathan’s line of vision and then it struck me.
