Chapter 9 Since It Went Bad...

Previously on Chapter 8 Hogsmeade Experience

Before the quartet can observe more about the couple, a voice broke out besides them.

"Why, I didn't know that your brother hang out with The Wangers, Padfoot. And oh, look! It's Dione!"

THAT WAS FAMILIAR. In an annoying way.

     The quartet turned to see James Potter and the rest of The Marauders.

     "What an awful sight to see on such a lovely Hosgmeade Trip, don't you think Prongs?" Sirius sneered and nudged James.

     "Don't flatter yourself, Black. You've never been much to look at", Emma muttered, loud for all eight of them to hear, and rolled her neck. Hector and Dione held a laugh but Regulus remained silence and drank his rum. James let out a laugh, "That's a good one." Sirius stepped on Jame's foot as he failed at containing his laughter. James let out a yelp. Three-forth of the quartet covered their mouth to prevent laughing.

     Sirius eyed the other one of the quartet, who spoke nothing and made no sound and avoided any interaction. Sirius cleared his throat, having all the others' attention before speaking, "What a pleasure, to see you here, brother." Regulus narrowed his eyes at Sirius, truth to be told, they weren't exactly 'brothers' anymore. "Stop with the whole sarcasm act Sirius, it doesn't suit you." He said. Sirius scoffed, "Who are you to say whatever suits me or not?"

     "I don't have to be anyone to say so. You hate me and I hate you. We could've avoided all this." Regulus said and waved his finger around them, meaning the drama. "But you didn't. You and your fellow Marauders had to come over and mess around. I'm sick of everything you do to insult me and my friends. Everything. So if you don't mind, I'll be leaving this place." Regulus stood up and put on his jacket and went for the exit. Hector glared at The Marauders, especially Sirius, for one last time and left with Regulus.

     It was actually the two girls, who stayed behind to deal with The Marauders.

     "Dione's first Hogsmeade Trip and you had to ruin it." Emma stood up and crossed her arms, followed by Dione who put a shoulder on her hand. on Emma's shoulder, "It's not just about me. Everyone deserves to be happy on a Hogsmeade Trip. If you hadn't come, this wouldn't have happened and now look what you did." She said.

     "Since when did Dione thinks like this? She always seems like she doesn't care about everyone at all." James whispered to Remus.

     "Since I met my friends. And I care about my friends very much. And Regulus happened to be one of them." Dione fired at James. "Whatever your relationship with Regulus is. Nobody cares, not today, not on a Hogsmeade Trip." She said, she grabbed Emma's hand and left the inn.

     The Marauders stood there, dumbstruck and deadpanned.

     "What just happened?"

     "C'mon guys. Just let it go." Remus told them and they sat back down and continued to whatever they were doing.

     Somehow, Sirius was happy. And shocked too. He was happy, because he saw someone (He never thought it'd be Dione) cares about Regulus. Happy that Regulus was not hanging out with those stuck up Slytherins, Death Eaters. That someone cares for him for who he is, not because of his blood status, house, family background. Just him, Regulus but not R.A.B. And shocked because he saw the other side of Dione he thought he'd never see. Sirius was smiling like an idiot and the others have no idea why he was acting like this.
