" Baby, you should wake up if you don't want to be late. " I heard her saying, she always wakes me up to go to work. I don't know, maybe I haven't gotten used to waking up early all these years.
" Cari, get up! " she kissed my cheek and I heard her leaving the bedroom and walking downstairs. I rubbed my eyes and turned around to see the watch on the night stand. It was 8:15 and my first class starts at 9:55. Why did she wake me up so early?
I slowly got out of the sheets and walked towards the bathroom. I grabbed my toothbrush and brushed my teeth, I was too lazy to take a shower so I just brushed my hair and spray them with that thing that smells nice. Don't ask me, I don't know how it's called.
I shoved the paperwork I did the day before in my bag, as well as my pens, sharpies and paperclips. My guitar is in my car so I won't have to carry it every day.
I chose to wear my ripped jeans and my white hoodie since it's pretty cold outside. Whether it's summer or winter, spring or autumn, the weather here in London is always pretty cold and rainy. I also wore my yellow beanie, my black converse and walked downstairs with my bag.
" What do you want for breakfast? " she asked me and gave me a quick morning kiss. She pulled some of her blonde hair behind her ear and rested her elbows on the bar counter, waiting for my answer.
" Something quick, I want to spend time with you before I leave for work. " I sat opposite of her at the kitchen bar counter and left me bag next to me, on the chair.
" A sandwich? " she walked to the fridgeand opened it to see what we have got for a quick breakfast. " And maybe some bacon? " she told me cause we always eat bacon since we came her to England.
" That sound great. " I gave her a smile and walked to the fridge too, to get the carton of juice that was left.
" Cranberry again? You know I prefer strawberry baby! " I complained when I saw the flavor of the liquor.
" I'll get some strawberry juice today okay? Don't be such a grumpy morning person. " she laughed at me, I walked next to her and punched her shoulder.
" I have told you that there are consequences when you hit me. " she winked at me, I rolled my eyes and punched her again.
" Okay then. " she left the bread she was holding to make the sandwich and grabbed me by the waist. " You being extra moody. " she kissed my neck and then went for my lips but I stopped her with my index.
" Not now tiger. " I gently pushed her and kissed her nose. " Is my breakfast ready? " I asked her, she rolled her eyes.
When our breakfast was ready and we had already finished it, it was time for me to leave for work.
" I won't be late, I have 3 classes and then I'll be home okay? " I wore my jacket and walked to the door with my bag.
" Okay, take care. " she gave me a goodbye kiss and I left the house and walked to my car.
The ride to the school is 20 minutes. The University gave me 3 houses to choose one to live and I chose the one that was closer to the school sο the transportation would be easier.
" Good morning guys! " I cheerfully told the class and walked to my desk.
" Good morning miss Fletcher. " they replied all together.
I was ready to say something but Chloe started first.
" Miss Fletcher, how is the song going? " she asked me referring to the new song I'm working on. Well, I started it with them so it's not my job only. It's almost finished butit need som work on the editing part yet.
" It's going great guys, you did a nice job. " it would be impossible to be a mediocre song if you consider the fact that I write it with 19 year old kids. It is based on true facts and events so it is a powerful song. " Do you want to sing it? I can play the quitar for you, Tommy can play the piano. " I offered.
" How about you singing the song and we play the instruments? " the suggested.
" I knew it. " I laughed, they always love it when I sing.
Tommy went to the piano with the chorus paper, Jessica grabbed the guitar with her own chorus paper.

" Okay class, get your stuff and go home. And please take care and be careful out there. " I dismissed the last class I had for today and when they said goodbye to me too, we all left to go home, but Stephanie stayed back.
" Miss Fletcher, can I talk to you? " she said quietly.
" What is it Steph? " I left my bag on the desk again to listen what she wanted to tell me. She seems like something is bothering her.
" It's about the contest next month.. " she sat down at her chair again, I walked to her way so we could be closer.
" You can tell me. " I took a chair and placed opposite of her and sat down.
" I just don't think that I can do it. What if I forget the lyrics of the song? What if my brain shut down? What if - "
" Stephanie, hold up! " I interrupted her and held her hand. " Nothing is gonna happen. You are a great singer with a great voice and you know you can do it. I believe in you and that's why I chose you to be the lead singer of the first solo. Your voice is powerful, you'll be great! " I told her in my attempt to make her doubts dissappear. " You'll practice the song, we can practice together whenever you want. You know the chorus of the whole song so you can play it on your guitar and sing. You're just scared and that's why you can't see why you are the perfect voice for this song. " I gave her my best confident smile.
She seemed to thinking something and then gave me a smile too. Bright enough to assure me that she understands.
" You are the best teacher Miss Fletcher. " she stood up and gave me a tight hug. Without saying anything, I rubbed her back and when she said goodbye too, I took my guitar and bag and went back to my car to drive the 20 minute ride back home.
" Sami, I'm home!! " I called her when I entered the house.
" Hey baby, I missed you. " she came to me, gave me a kiss and we went to the living room together.
