" Get your hands off my girlfriend!! " I was woken up the next morning with a loud voice echoing in the room. A terrible headache makes it hard for me to open my eyes but eventually did it and found myself laying on a couch with Cari in my hands and Sami ready to grab me by the collar of my shirt.
Before I could even process what was happening, Sami had already grabbed me and forced me to get out of the couch. Cari shifted when she now was completely laying on the couch without me next to her and opened her eyes when Sami shouted again.
" You think you can get into my house and lay your fucking hands on Cari?! " she raised her hands and the impact of her fist on my face was too hard for me to stay standing. I fell down, trying to hold onto something so I won't hit my head on the floor but when I tried to grab Sami's pants, she shook my hand and as a result I hit my head on the floor.
I was too dizzy to process and understand what was happening. My head, actually my whole body went numb. How did I got here? And why did I sleep with Cari in her house?
" Get up! " Sami shouted in my face. " Get the fuck up! " she grabbed my collar again and forced me to stoo up again. I felt the thick liquor streaming down from my nose but before I could swipe the blood from my mouth, Sami had already collided her fist on my cheek. This time, I didn't fell down cause Sami was still holding me up.
" Stop, you're hurting her!! " Cari shouted at Sami and to make her let me go but Sami pushed her away.
" You stay out of this! " she screamed at Cari now.
I was drunk. I drunk texted Cari last night. She came and picked me up from the bar. I brought a disaster into her house and I can't blame her this time. It's my fault.
" Don't hit her again Sami, please.. " Cari's voice cracked, making me understand that she was crying. I shook my head, trying to hold my sheld from passing out. " Don't hurt her.. " Cari laid her hands on Sami softly. Sami now looked at her and then looked at me again. Cari held her left hand that was holding me and made Sami to let me go, I fell on the couch again, unable to hold myself up. She cupped Sami's faced and placed a kiss on her lips.
That hurt more than the punches.
" Mommy? " a high pitched voice was heard from the staircase. I had totally forgot about her.
" Shit. " Sami mumbled and Cari runned towards Claire. " If you think that you can ruin my family with Cari, you are very wrong. " she whispered, careful so Cari couldn't hear. She pressed her finger on my chest and continued. " Lay a finger on her again and I'll end you. " she threatened me, emphasizing her last words.
" Hey honey, why are you up? " I heard Cari's voice before I could give Sami an answer.
" I heard Sami screaming again. " she pointed at the angry woman in front of me sadly but her face lit up when she saw me sitting on the couch. I was still really dizzy and my fave was a bloody mess, the little one can't see me like this. But she will. " Brownie!! " she runned pass Cari and runned to me.
" Hey little one. " I gave her a simple smile.
" You are red Brownie, why are you red? " she tried to touch my face but I stopped her.
" I um.. I fell from the stairs and hit my face on the floor! " I told her playfully, earning a giggle. " Embarrassing right?! " I said as the little one kept giggling.
" Why did you fell from the stairs? Mommy says we never run on the stairs. You didn't heard mommy. "
" I needed to pee and if I didn't run I would make a mess in your house. Would you want that? " I answered her, earning a giggle from Cari as well. " But you need to listen to your mom. If you don't want to end up like this.. " I pointed to the mess called my face. " You'll never run to the stairs. " I playfully stroked her hair making her laugh.
