1- First Day of High School.

6:30 a.m

I somehow woke up super early today despite me binge-watching "W: Two Worlds" last night. The drama hit me right in the feels.

I'm obsessed with Kang Chul.

Holidays are over and it's the first day of high school today and I am having these mixed emotions of being excited and scared.

I called Hilda up knowing damn well she was still asleep.

Hilda and I have been friends for as long as i can remember and our plan is to go to the same university together after senior year.

Ever since elementary school, I was always known to be feisty and Hilda.. even though she was way taller than me was timid and I was always getting into trouble for saving her from the boys who took her pencil boxes and pulled her hair. (bff goals much)

There was also someone I used to save from the big bullies... I don't know where he is now anymore but He, Hilda and I used to be inseparable.

"I hope he's doing fine." I sighed as I sat on the bed with my phone pressed to my ear.

It was like a normal routine for me, thinking about him as soon as I woke up. Thinking about him in general.

Hilda, as expected, did not pick up my call. So I got up from the bed and went to the bathroom.

Mom called from downstairs while I was admiring myself in the mirror and checking my school uniform that were newly dry-cleaned and ironed.

"Mimi!! Get up! Come have breakfast! You don't want to be late on the first day! Fast!!" echeod through the whole house.

Mom always had to be so loud.

"Okay Mom! I heard you!"

I went down to the Kitchen and she have prepared pancakes.

"You were watching Korean dramas again last night didn't you? I told you to sleep early look how puffy your face is." she said while she stuffed pancakes into my mouth.

"No, I slept so early that's why it's puffy." I lied with my mouth full.

Mom in disbelief scoffed and raised a fork. "Your dad heard you shouting 'Kang Chul I love you!!' And thought you had a fight with your boyfriend."

"Mom! What boyfriend? He is my husband."

"Then when will I meet him?" she decided to play along.

"Not before I do." I said running back to my room leaving her dumbfounded.

I packed my bags and wore my shoes and called Hilda again.

"Hello?" was followed by a yawn.

"Hey, Are you still sleeping?? Get up it's the first day."

Hilda- Omg! What time is it?! Omg omg omg! Why didn't you call me earlier! Omg!

Mimi- I did ! Be ready in 5 mins. We're coming to get you.

I could hear her throwing her phone and stumbling around her room. She has always been a deep sleeper.

So I went down from my room and Dad promised to drive me as it was the first day.

Dad - Only today. Take the school bus from tomorrow. Let's go!

I pouted.

Then we went to pick up Hilda. Wow, she looks really good in the uniform.

"Bye girls! Don't cause any trouble."

We walked inside the School gate and I have a feeling that this will be a good year as we have to study our asses off next year being the senior year.

We were allocated to our classrooms. Hilda and I were in the same class!

Yaaasss! Told ya this was going to be a good year! We all did a self-introduction and our homeroom teacher was "Mr.Han Yi An" but he preferred to be called "Sir YiAn" or just Sir.

We all knew each other since elementary so nothing much felt new except for the classrooms and uniforms, and we all grew taller I guess.

School ended early and it was the first day so Hilda and I decided to eat Ramyeon at "D.O's Shop."

We have been going here for many years and it's our favourite place.

Kyungsoo greeted us as soon as we opened the door.

"Long time no see!"

"Hey Kyungsoo you've grown taller!" I said patting his head.

"Whoa! The shop seems different." Hilda exclaimed as her eyes scanned around the cafe.

Kyungsoo in delight responded,"We changed the wallpapers yesterday. Is it nice?"

"Yes. I like it."

Her respond made Kyungsoo smiled showing off his heart shaped lips. "So what would you like? The usual? Iced Americano and Ramyeon?"

"Aww you remembered."

"Of course! Nobody drinks americano with ramyeon."

"It's because we're special Kyungsoo."

We almost made people wait in line as we always chat too much everytime we are together.

We got our order and sat at our usual table. I saw Hilda looking uneasy while slurping my ramyeon

"You ok? Why is your face so red? Are you sick?"

*hiding her face in her hands*

"I'm fine..."

I looked around confused and then I saw Jimin and his girlfriend, Seulgi on the other table.

Hilda has always denied it but I knew she had a thing for Jimin.

She blushes everytime he walks by and looks down at the ground everytime Seulgi was anywhere near us.

Seulgi and I never liked each other and I once got into a huge trouble because of her last year. It's a long story. She is just too mean. Nobody likes her except for Irene and Wendy who follows her around like they're her puppets.

I just don't know what Jimin sees in her. Jimin is a nice guy and Seulgi just uses him.

Thank God they left early now I can enjoy my ramyeon in peace without worrying about Hilda.

Then we went home. Our houses are just two blocks apart.

"I'm home Mother!" I said making a dramatic entrance.

"How was the first day? Did you cause any trouble??"

Sarcasm runs in our blood.

"Mom! I'm a new person now." I said as I poured water into a glass.

She laughed.

"Honey, Do you remember Kim Taehyung from elementary school?"

A question so sudden I dropped the glass of water on to the floor.

What about Kim Taehyung?😳
