Manik was lying on the bed frustrated, looking at Nandini pack her clothes for the week-end, since the last 30 min. He gets up and stops her.
"Nandini, are you moving in with me?"
"What? No!"
"It is for three days. Get three pairs of clothes and move. Poori closet thodi pack karni hai yaar. I need to work at home, babe."
"Gimme two minutes...please..." she rushes into the bathroom and comes out with her hands full.
"You've got to be kidding me!"
"What..I need my hair dryer, straightener, shampoo, apricot scrub...." she argues, packing them in her large duffel bag.
"..and of course you also need a dozen lip glosses for three days." He asks her annoyed.
She looks back at him annoyed. "No! I need three. But, I don't know which three." she explains.
"You know, this will go much quicker if you do not interrupt me every 30 seconds."
"You have exactly five minutes." he tells her.
"Five uninterrupted minutes." she demands.
"We will see.." he walks out of her room showing her his watch.
An hour later, they were in the elevator to his apartment. "You sure you did not leave anything behind, sweetheart? This bag seems light.." he asks her, carrying her huge bag, which was a tad bit on the heavier side.
"Like what?" she asks him. "Let me think...I got clothes, books, laptop, toothbrush.."
"God, you are unbelievable.." he huffs.
"Ah, you were using your sense of irony.." she teases.
"Hmm.." he makes a face.
The elevator stops and a girl walks in with a dog. "Manik..Hi, How are you doing?"
"Hi. Jessica..." he nods politely.
"You are here during the break?"
"Yes. For now..." he replies.
"Hey..you want to come over for drinks..."
"Ah, thanks but I have plans with my girlfriend." he smiles.
