Chapter thirteen - final

DEVINS POV

"We need to talk" (y/n) spoke in a low voice she sat on the bed legs crisscrossed hands neatly placed in her lap. I sat across from her not knowing what to expect, I tried reaching for her hand but she pulled it back and placed it in her lap once more. "I- I saw Kyle and I slept with him." My heart stopped it was as if my whole world I just come crashing down. Tears welled up in her blue eyes was this a dream? Was this reality? I didn't know what else to do I just sat there staring at her emotionless. She waited for me to say something, but what could I say? My girlfriend who told me that she was going to visit her family lied to me. She lied to me. I put all my trust in her, and she threw it back in my face.

Tears continued to fall down her porcelain face, all I could say was "why?" She looked down at the bed "I'm sorry Devin I didn't mean to hurt you!" "That doesn't answer my question, why!" "Why would you betray my trust like that? Why would you go back to someone that abused you and left you on the street to die? Why would you go back to someone and sleep with someone that belittled you made your life a living hell and never loved you? I gave you everything! And you proved to me that it was a mistake." I was angry at this point there was nothing she could say or do that would make me forgive her. "I did it because I love him."

I sat there in silence, staring at her. What was I supposed to say? It felt as if time had stopped, is this what it like to have a broken heart? The only thing that I could bring myself to do was push myself off the bed run down the stairs and slamming the front door behind me.

YOUR POV

You felt ashamed, what else are you supposed to do? Were you supposed to live your normal life as if you hadn't slept with your ex-boyfriend? As if you hadn't cheated on your boyfriend who took you and give you everything? You sat there and let the tears roll down your porcelain cheeks. Ghost didn't say anything he ran out the door and left to you alone.

You laid down the bed and stared up at the white ceiling. Taking a deep breath you close your eyes for a moment and thought to yourself "what have I done?" You whipped your eyes clean of tears and grab your phone. You pulled up your text messages and open the chat with Kyle, you wrote: I told him. And hit send. Kyle responded back almost immediately asking you what ghost had said. "he's angry" you typed."I'm sorry babe" he responded.
"There's nothing you can do now" you said and placed your phone back on the bed next to you.

What would happen when Devin came back would he talk to you? Or would he kick you out? So many thoughts swirled inside your head that you didn't even realize that the opened. Soft footsteps made their way up the wooden staircase, you figured it was Devin. The silhouette that stood in the doorway was not Devin, it was Vinny. You sniffled as he walked towards you sitting on the bed a sad look in his eyes.

"He called me, he's really upset dude" Vinny
said. You took a deep breath and looked down at the white sheets "I didn't mean to hurt him" you said. "I know..." He trailed off."What can I do? What can I do to make it better?" You asked. Vinny looked at you in silence for a few moments before parting his lips to respond "honestly, nothing. You cheated on him you broke his trust and his heart." He said with sadness in his voice. Getting "the only thing that you really can do is wait and hope that he doesn't kick you out" he said with sigh. He stayed for a while to keep you company but eventually left; night begin to fall and ghost still hadn't returned. You wondered if he would ever come back.

you called him several times and sent him several messages asking him where he was he never responded. Where was he? You asked yourself.

DEVINS POV

Beginning "she cheated on me"I sniffled. Kylie placed a soft hand on my shoulder and gave me a sad smile. "I know that you really did love her and I know that it's going to hurt for a while but I'm here for you." Kylie said. I have known Kylie all my life we grew up together living down the street from each other we did everything together when we were kids. We had sleepovers we went on family trips together we went to school together hell we even went to college together.  She was always there for me when I needed someone and that's what warmed my heart the most. I leaned back and her black leather couch and looked at her, "do you mind if I stay the night? I don't have the heart to go back home tonight" I asked her. She gave me a sad smile but nodded "of course you can stay. You can stay as long as you need" she said. It warmed my heart to know that someone cared about me.

On my way to Kylie's house I texted Vinny; letting him know what had happened. He was concerned as any good friend would be, Vinny offered to come over and I declined. Kylie ordered us pizza and you hung out on the couch catching up on life. "It's really nice to have you over Dev" Kylie spoke in a low voice. Her raven black hair fell in her face a bit, her lip piercing shined a bit in the dim light of her living room. "What are you gonna do about (y/n)?" she asked her gazed fixed on the TV ahead of her. You sighed and looked down at your hands; "I don't know..." I trailed off. "You should just kick her out" she said with no emotion in her voice I looked over at her with a socked expression. "What? she cheated on you! Why would you allow someone who obviously doesn't care about your feelings to stay with you?" she exclaimed.

I thought about it for a moment, she did have a point. (Y/n) could ALWAYS go back to Michigan and live with the man she truly loves; Kyle. "You know what you're right I can't let her stay with me" I said pulling out my phone to text (y/n).

YOUR POV

It had been two days since you told Devin that you cheated on him, two days since you broke his heart and two days since you had seen him. He wanted you gone he didn't want you to stay with him any longer. You were almost finished packing the few things that you had at his house, as you slung your small shoulder bag over your shoulder your phone rang. You pulled it out to see that Kyle was calling you; you sighed and placed your phone back into your pocket you didn't have the energy to talk to him right now. You opened the front door and walked to the yellow taxi cab that waited at the edge of the driveway' it was about to be a ling drive to the airport.

The flight to Michigan was anything but eventful, you sat in your seat the whole time and wondered what would happen when you saw Kyle. Finally the plane landed, you grabbed your carry on bag and left the plane. As you walked down the tunnel that connected the plane your heart started racing a bit. There he was; Kyle stood by the entrance gate and smile when he saw you. You ran up to him and gave him the biggest hug you could, you cried into his shirt as he kissed your head. "I missed" you said pulling away from his chest to look at him. He smiled even wider as he grabbed your hand and led you out of the airport. It was nice to be back home in Michigan.

HELLOOOOOOO I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOYED THIS CHAPTER AND THIS BOOK! THIS IS IT FOR AGAINST THE WAVES! I WASN'T PLANNING ON ENDING IT LIKE THID BUT HEY THINGS HAPPEN. THERE WILL BE A SEQUEL TO THIS STORT BUT I AM GOING TO WORK ON A NEW STORY FIRST. ONCE I GET ABOUT HALF WAY THROUGH WITH THAT ONE I WILL START A THE SEQUEL.
