"Mommy, I hungry," I heard Alem whine from behind me. If I was being honest, I was hungry too.

"I know, buddy. We will be there soon." I looked over at Eric and he was watching me with a funny smile on his face. I raised my eyebrows as to say what and he wiggled his eyebrows back at me in a sexy way.

'Maybe tonight? Are you hungry?' I asked him in my head, quietly. I wasn't sure when Alem could hear us and when he couldn't and I didn't want to traumatize my son.

'Yes, I'm hungry for all of you.' He grabbed my hand and kissed the back of it, nicking my knuckle lightly and making me bleed. He licked it off and I pulled my hand back, giving him a look of shock.

'Alem is right there.'

'He isn't paying attention to us, look.' I turned around and noticed Alem looking at his baby books, making up words to the pictures. Was I paying so much attention to Eric that I didn't notice Alem was reading out loud?

'YES!' Eric said in my head and laughed out loud.

"It has been a while," I said and Eric's eyes shot open in excitement. "Since I fed you perv." I smacked his check lightly and Eric caught my hand again, bringing it to his mouth and kissed it softly. I felt his tongue run across the top of it and my body started to purr in excitement.

'Stop that with Alem here!' I roared at him in my mind but he just let my hand go and laughed to himself.

"So, have you decided where we're going?" Eric had been driving for hours towards the west and I was ready to get out of the car just as much as Alem was.

"I was thinking Louisiana. Many years ago I met this young girl there. She was a healer, only eighteen years old I think. People were coming down with strange illnesses and she was simply placing her hands on their heads, saying a few words and healing them. Most people were afraid of her and her magic and only people who really needed her help went to see her, but I healed her one day and she said she owed me a favor. No one knew that I'd met her and she shouldn't have any ties to anyone we know. I think she will be a good person for us to meet with and it's far enough away to let us make a plan." It was clear that Eric had been thinking about this because he didn't fumble as he spoke.

"Where are we now and can she be trusted? If we go there, who's to say she won't just call someone and alert them that we're there?"

"Last I checked, we were in Alabama. The thing is I turned Lucy. She was attacked one day after performing a healing ritual. Someone who didn't like her or believe in her gift attacked her and stabbed her repeatedly. I found her just moments from dead. She asked me to help her and I did the only thing I could think of. I turned her. I ended up bringing her back to my hotel and taking care of her, teaching her how to live her new life and guided her back to health. Needless to say, word of her death spread through the town and when she showed back up, healthy and unharmed, she was never doubted again. People thought her magic had healed her and for that, she said she owed me her life."

"So since you sired her, she has to do what you say?" I was in shock a bit. I didn't have to listen to him.

'You would have to if I actually made you, Love.' Eric said and looked back at me. I frowned, crossed my arms and shook my head no.

'Just wait until we get to the hotel and I'll prove it.' He winked at me and I couldn't help but smile. That could be an interesting little fact if I played my cards right.

"Daddy!" Alem whined again from behind me.

"What, buddy?" He responded with a smile.

"I hungwy. A lot." I smiled at my son and Eric smiled at me.
