'How can you not remember me? I'm your soul mate, Alem.'
'No, Brielle is my soul mate. Leave me alone.'
I concentrated on anything but her voice and after a minute, I couldn't hear her anymore. I stood up and looked around this little room. I got up quickly and moved to the door, sighing in relief as it opened as I turned the knob. I stepped out into the hallway and started walking towards the sounds of people talking, trying to make sure I was as quiet as possible.
I walked down the stairs and crept towards the noise, trying to make out what they were saying. If someone saw me right now I have no doubt that they would think I broke into the house and was sneaking around.
"Who are we spying on?" I jumped and spun around to see Brielle watching me with a smile. She'd clearly been watching me a while because she didn't look surprised at what I was doing.
"No one. I was actually looking for you. I woke up and you were gone." I walked to her and wrapped my arms around her. She placed her small arms around my waist and put her head on my chest. I kissed the top of her head and tightened my hold on her. She felt comfortable in my arms. Something about her felt right and wrong at the same time. Her small frame undermine felt right but there was no spark when I touched her. I guess I always thought my dream girl would give me that spark. I didn't really care at the moment though. She was the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen and knowing she was mine took place of any doubt I may have had.
"Are you alright?" She asked looking up at me. Her eyes were a pale blue and something about them felt familiar.
"You're eyes are beautiful." I leaned down and kissed her. When I tried to deepened the kiss she put her hand on my chest and took a step back from me.
"Not in public, Alem. Are you hungry?" She grabbed my hand and pulled on it, moving us towards the voices I was listening to earlier. As we walked into the kitchen, everyone stopped speaking and turned to look at us. There was a man sitting at the table, watching me carefully. He looked between Brielle and I, causing me to step in front of her so he couldn't see her again. I didn't like the way he looked at her. There was also a pretty woman sitting next to him. She looked to be quite a few years younger but her blond hair was something that almost drew me in to her.
"Hello, Alem." The man spoke to me like he knew me and that caught me off guard.
"Hey. Do you I know you?" His face lit up then and turned towards the woman, kissing her quickly. He turned to look at us just a flash of a second later.
"No, you don't but Brielle has told us so much about you." He stood up and held his hand out to me, "I'm Robert and this is my wife Liz. It's nice to finally meet you."
I felt nothing. It had been almost two days since I'd last felt the baby and I was worried. I think me being this stressed out was really taking a toll on my body. I found it hard to eat and Eric would have to force me most times.
Michelle and Eric spent a day and a half working on their plan to get Alem back. They'd decided on a plan, one that I wasn't so sure of but they were sure it would work. I was the bait and I was more than fine with that. Michelle was going in with me but she would be disguised as one of Robert's men. She was going to tell them she was in town and saw me, captured me and brought me back here. Eric couldn't be in sight because my cover that I'd been kidnapped would be blown.
I knew Robert and for some reason, I had a hard time lying to him. I didn't know if it was because he was my father and he'd watched me grow up or if it was one of the powers he's acquired over time. The only thing I knew was that I needed to keep my baby out of sight, get my son back and make sure my husband wasn't harmed in trying to save me.
